摘要:
We report x-ray photoemission spectra for a 30% glass-filled poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) polymer. XPS spectra were acquired with a SSI model SSX-100 instrument using monochromated AlKαx-rays. We present the survey spectrum (binding energy 0–1000 eV) and a narrow spectrum of the C 1sand O 1sphotoelectron peaks.

摘要:
We report x-ray photoemission spectra for a CaCO3filled poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) polymer with dioctyl pthalate plasticizer. XPS spectra were acquired with a SSI model SSX-100 instrument using monochromated AlKαx-rays. We present the survey spectrum (binding energy 0–1000 eV) and a narrow spectrum of the C 1s, O 1s, and Cl 2pphotoelectron peaks.

摘要:
XPS spectra of graphite-filled poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF) are presented. The specimen consists of 17 wt % PVdF and 83 wt % graphite. A freshly cut surface was examined using monochromated AlKαx-rays. Spectra include a survey scan, C 1sand F 1sregions, and the FKLLAuger transitions.

摘要:
High quality solid CO2/H2O and CO2/CH3OH films have been grown on a stainless steel cold-finger using a continuous flow liquid nitrogen system. The solid (or ice) was formed from research grade (99.995% min. purity) isotopic13CO2gas, and ultrapure water vapor or methanol vapor. The isotopic13CO2gas was used to distinguish it from any background CO2gas in the vacuum system. The gases were mixed in a stainless steel prechamber with the pressure monitored using an MKS capacitance manometer. The base pressure in the analysis chamber was less than 5 × 10−10T prior to deposition and upon gas introduction was inceased, using a precision leak valve, to approximately 2 × 10−8T. Films were grown at this pressure for approximately 1 h. Gas purity was monitored using a Balzers Prisma QMS 300 quadrupole mass spectrometer. The nucleated films were characterized using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The reported spectra include survey and high resolution scans of the major photoelectron peaks.

摘要:
Calcite is a common mineral phase found in pure and mixed phase systems. The data reported here was collected for comparison with data collected on other systems and to determine the relative sensitivity for various Ca photopeaks that we were using for the analysis of other Ca-containing mineral phases. This data was collected on a PHI Quantum Scanning ESCA Microprobe. This instrument is unique in that the x-ray beam is focused and can be scanned over the sample. A single crystal of calcite was broken in vacuum (exposing the 101¯4 cleavage plane) and analyzed using monochromatic AlKαx-rays. The sample was neutralized using both low energy ions and electrons.
