摘要:

Two patients are presented with chronic renal impairment complicated by anaemia and the clinical features of porphyria cutanea tarda associated with raised levels of urinary uroporphyrins. Treatment in each case with a course of ultra-low-dose chloroquine was successful in alleviating symptoms and lowering uroporphyrin levels. Ultra-low-dose chloroquine appears to be both a safe and an effective treatment for porphyria cutanea tarda in patients with moderate renal impairment.
