摘要:
AbstractLe spectre RMN de la nitroglycérine, du type ABCA'B', montre que la molécule est symétrique par rapport au plan HCO passant par le carbone central. Les constantes de couplage protonique peuvent être interprétées par la rigidié du squelette CH2CHCH2 qui se présente alors sous deux conformations possibles telles que deux motifscontigus soient en position presque éclipsée. Il en est de même pour les groupes CH2ONO2, CHONO2du dinitrate de propane diol 1–2 et trinitrate de butane triol 1–2–4. Un calcul du moment dipolaire de la nitroglycérine en fonction de la conformation du squelette CH2CHCH2 et de la rotation des groupes NO3autour des liaisons CO, montre que ce dernier facteur a autant d'importance que le premier. Il ne nous semble donc pas nécessaire de supposer une modification du squelette pour expliquer les variations du moment dipolaire de

摘要:
AbstractThe low temperature failure characteristics of two types of solid propellant are derived from the flexural tests on round bar specimens. Quantities which measure strength and variability are established and master curves expressing these quantities in terms of strain rate and temperature are determined. The method is applied to two types of propellants and failure probability contour curves are obtained for each material.

AbstractThe shock initiation threshold of PBX‐9404 has been studied over the pressure range 3.1 GPa‐28 GPa with pulse lengths ranging from 0.007 μs‐0.63 μs. The short‐duration, high pressure pulses were produced by the impact of thin plastic flyer plates accelerated by electrically exploded metal foils. We performed the experiments on explosive pellets 25.4 mm in diameter with thicknesses of 6.0 mm, 10.1 mm and 19.1 mm. No dependence of the initiation threshold on pellet thickness was observed. The data are represented reasonably well by either the critical initiation energy or by the constant P2τ initiatio

摘要:
AbstractThe combustion behaviour of a cylindrical port burning PVC plastisol hybrid fuel grain in an oxidizing stream of gaseous oxygen has been studied and the effects of grain length and port size on the local regression rate, average regression rate and mass consumption rate have been investigated. Various combinations of grain length and port size have been employed to give a wide range of L/D ratios from 8 to 100. The average regression rate is found to increase with the increase of L/D ratio, whereas the mass consumption rate is found to decrease with the increase of L/D ratio. An attempt has also been made to correlate the fuel mass consumption rate with the Reynolds' number and the total mass flux.

AbstractThe title reaction was effected by oxidation with copper(II) compounds, halogenating agents, quinones, and air or oxygen, in the last case preferably with the addition of a promoter. These procedures are all conducted in basic medium, and require a correct choice of reaction solvent.
