摘要:
AbstractThe present paper describes a method for determining the equilibrium composition of the combustion products and the performance of propellants by using the Free Energy Minimization Technique. This minimization is sought to be carried out by a direct random search technique and systematic reduction of the size of the search region. The problem was programmed on the IBM 360/ Model 44 Computer in FORTRAN IV and rhe results for a typical metallized propellant are shown in the paper.

摘要:
AbstractTheoretically there seems to be a linear dependence between specific impulse and the ignition delay in liquid bipropellant systems. It has been observed that the plot of specific impulse versus mixture ratio of various systems based on red fuming nitric acid oxidizer show a maximum. The ignition delay versus mixture ratio plot of the same systems on the other hand show a minimum at a mixture ratio which corresponds to the maximum specific impulse. Thus, the mixture corresponding to maximum performance of a liquid bipropellant system could be qualitatively predicted from the ignition delay measurements.

摘要:
Abstract5,6,7‐Trihydro‐5,7‐diphenyl‐thiazolo [3,2‐b]‐s‐triazin‐3(2H)‐one (C17H15N3OS) is used as a stabilizer for the double base propellant and gave good results with the stability tests. The samples were stored for 12 days at 100° C and were extracted by different suitable solvents.
