A digital filter structure which is suitable for program execution and fixed-point arithmetic is presented. Implementation of digital filters based on Laplace domain design using the bilinear transform is discussed; then some alternative techniques for designing the coefficient values are proposed.

摘要:
Wave active filters with reduced numbers of operational amplifiers are studied with regard to their sensitivity and the operation at high frequencies. An effective method of compensation for the effect of the finite gain/bandwidth product of the operational amplifiers is suggested and applied successfully. Finally, a ‘lossy’ and a ‘lossless’ WAF realising the same 6th-order bandpass function are compared with respect to their sensitivity and suitability for high-frequency operation.

A data base for generating the symbolic transfer functions for a linear electronic circuit is formulated and an appropriate retrieval theorem derived. The size of the required data base is 0 (n2) independently of the number of simultaneously varying parameters, wherenis the total number of component output terminals, and the cost of retrieval is 0 (p3) multiplicaions wherepis the actual number of circuit paramters which vary simultaneously in a given analysis. As such, both storage and computational requirements are minimised.

摘要:
The distortion characteristics of single-ended and differential current-feedback bipolar transistor amplifiers are investigated in detail. Expressions for the 2nd through 5th-order harmonic distortion in both types of amplifiers, as well as the 3rd-and 5th-order intermodulation distortion in a differential pair, are derived in terms of the transistor forward transconductance and net effective emitter degeneration resistance.

摘要:
The overflow oscillation problem in fixed-point arithmetic digital lattice filters is considered. Conditions for overflow stability are formulated in the filterK-parameter space for the 2-multiplier and the 1-multiplier lattice filters, using their state-space description. It is found that the 2-multiplier lattice model is overflow stable over a much wider range ofK-parameter than the canonical 1-multiplier model, and that the optimal choice of the sign paramethers cmof the latter as proposed by Markel and Gray sometimes makes the filter overflow unstable. However, both lattices are more stable than the direct form realisation.
