摘要:
A new method of designing nonrecursive quadrature mirror filters with small deviation from the desired overall response is described. By imposing linear constraints at the midpoint of the filter frequency scale, in addition to the normal passband and stopband constraints, a solution that is very close (doubt) optimum is obtained. Satisfactory designs can thus be obtained without resorting to techniques involving the solution of nonlinear constraints. Some results of practical interests are presented.

摘要:
A rectangular anay consisting of identical elements can be transformed to another rectangular array by changing its interconnections. When the total number of the elements is conserved, the structure-changing process is equivalent to the coupling of the original array by means of a DC transformer (DCT). The purpose of the paper is to describe switching networks, using a minimum number of switching elements, which can be used for the array transformations.

摘要:
A study is made of stability constraints in 2-D recursive digital filter design. It is shown that stability margin constraints improve the efficiency of the design method over methods that use stability-only constraints. The simplex algorithm is proposed as the optimisation routine in the filter design program.

摘要:
A new method for determining the time-domain sensitivities of nonlinear circuits with distributed parameters is described. For the computation of sensitivities, no auxiliary circuits are used. The whole procedure is conducted simultaneously with the transient circuit analysis. Computation of sensitivities requires extension of well known methods of circuit analysis by some simple matrix operations. The necessary storage capacity depends on the method of integration applied. The methods of sensitivity analysis described can also be extended to AC- or DC-domain analysis.

摘要:
A general and powerful technique for the analysis of networks containing lossy coupled transmission lines in inhomogeneous media is presented. The technique is suitable for computer-aided procedures and no restrictions on network topology are required. Good agreement was found between measured and calculated responses. One of the applications of the derived equations for lossy lines is the design of microstrip circuits on semiconductor substrates. The effect of varying the substrate resistivity has been investigated.

摘要:
Given the source and load impedances and a preassigned transducer power-gain characteristic, the necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a lossless reciprocal equaliser which, when operating between the two given impedances, yields the desired transducer power-gain characteristic. The significance of the present approach is that the realisation of the equaliser involves only driving-point synthesis by the Darlington theory.

摘要:
The author has set out some general circuit solutions for the 2-terminal biquadratic minimum resistiveRLCpositive real function of the formZ(p)=(p2+ a1p + a0)/(p2+ b1p + b0). A resistive method has been introduced which has restricted application but has potential for further development.
