摘要:
The modal ranges of the 0.3–2 MeV H+and 0.7–2 MeV H+2ions in silicon and germanium have been determined by measuring with profilometers the depth of the craters arising in consequence of the exfoliative effect of the implanted hydrogen gas. The modal ranges deduced agree with those obtained from Monte Carlo calculations using the tabulated data for electronic stopping. The average ranges of the components of the H+2molecule are within 5 % the same as equivalent proton ranges.

The number density of voids generated in annealed copper foils during electron irradiation in a high voltage microscope has been measured for varying combinations of temperature between 523 and 723 K, foil thickness and pressure of the microscope environment.

摘要:
The effect of proton (5 MeV) bombardment at 300 K on the electrical properties of p-CdSiAs, and p-ZnSiAs, crystals are investigated. The resistivity near 300 K against dose curve shows an “anomaly”. It goes through a maximum (p≈ 109-1011ohm cm) at D = 5+1015H+/cm2and for D excess of 5 1015H+/cm2the electrical resistivity decreases with dose up to ∼ 103ohm cm for D = 1017H+/cm2. All heavy H+-irradiated samples of CdSiAs2and ZnSiAs2had near 300 K according to thermopower measurements p-type conductivity. It is suggested that the “impurity” band conduction takes place in the high proton damaged layers of CdSiAs2and ZnSiAs2compounds. Some annealing stages of donor- and acceptor-type defects are discovered in H+-irradiated samples.

摘要:
The influence of the multiple scattering on the generation of radiation by a charged particle passing through one or two absorptive plates is considered. The frequency spectra for the total radiation and the boundary effect for both cases are obtained. It is shown that in the case of two plates the boundary effect consists of the one for the single plate multiplied by an effective number of plates and of the interference term. The latter is analyzed and it is revealed that the interference picture of radiation depends considerably on the formation zone of the transition radiation. When the Bremsstrahlung mechanism dominates, the Bremsstrahlung formation zone is also essential. The numerical results for the total radiation and boundary effect in the cases under consideration are presented.
