摘要:
The rate of unipolar arcing to a Ti sample which had been activated by 7 MeV protons impinging on part of it after passing through an N2 atmosphere has been observed to be considerably reduced compared to the rate of arcing on the unirradiated part of the sample. This observation, first made in the DITE Tokamak, was confirmed by laboratory arcing studies on Ti and stainless steel specimens. It has been shown to be the consequence of irradiation through a gaseous atmosphere and to be avoidable by irradiationin vacuo.

摘要:
Nous présentons une méthode géeanérate pour révaluation des sections efficaces de déplacements dans des composés binaires sous irradiation aux électrons, en supposant un modéle de déplacement à une seule marche pour les deux espèaces. Nous exploitons les tableaux d'Oen et un calcul réeacent sur les cascades de déplacement dans cibles polyatomiques pour obtenir la section efficace de déplacement pour chaque espéce d'atomes. Nous utilisons cette méthode pour analyser des résultats expérimentaux concernant Fe7sB25, TaS2, TaS3 et SmS, et déterminer les énergies de seuil de déplacement de Fe, Ta et Sm dans ces composés.

摘要:
The effect of double scattering of 10–35 keV Ar ions by a copper polycrystal has been studied in the case of asymmetric reflection. Contributions from collisions of various multiplicities to the obtained energy spectra have been analysed theoretically. The spectra are computer-calculated using the statistical trial method with due account for a discrete set of possible distances between the surface atoms which scatter the ions. The charge-exchange processes are also included in the calculations.
