摘要:
The paper discusses recent perturbed γ-γ angular correlation (PAC) studies [Metzner and collaborators, Phys. Rev. Lett.53, 290 (1984)] of the111In/111Cd decay in Cu that had been damaged by the neutrino recoils associated with the decay of solute111Sn atoms to the PAC mother nuclei111In. It is argued that these experiments may settle a long-standing controversy on radiation damage in metals in favour of the so-called two-interstitial model.

摘要:
A new effect of generation of the electromagnetic pulses (in a radio-wave range) under irradiation of solids with a lazer beam has been observed. The parameters of the electromagnetic radiation pulses were shown to be connected with the characteristics of the samples under study. Analysis of the experimental results has also shown the connection of duration of the radio-wave pulses with a density of dislocations in the samples. The observed electromagnetic radiation appearing under the lazer beam irradiation od solids is suggested to be a source of information about physical processes and characteristics of solids.

摘要:
We have generalized the formula firstly given by Neufeld and Ritchie (see Ref. I) describing the electric field of a charged particle moving through solid when the particle velocity (vI) may be of the same order (or less) as compared to the Fermi velocity vF. Corrections to the pair interaction potentials of protons and alpha-particles with the target atoms due to the dynamical screening are estimated.

摘要:
The protective effect of NAD, FAD, ATP and p-benzoquinone administered singly or in combination to rats, was studied. The first three compounds were well tolerated (up to 640 mg/Kg body weight). However, p-benzoquinone showed a high toxicity, so it was not considered for in vivo experiments. Animals were irradiated in a137Cs gamma source (0.8 Gy/min) and the lethal dose (LD(50/30)) was 7.7 Gy.
