摘要:
The phase composition of iron surfaces after bombardment with doses from 1.1016boron ions cm−2to 1.1018boroh ions cm−2is investigated by high-voltage electron microscopy and selected area diffraction. The microstructure of iron boride phases formed as a result of boron bombardment is examined in dependence on the implanted doses and temperature. The implantation of boron in iron leads to amorphous iron boride, to metastable crystalline compositions Fe3B and Fe4B and to stable crystalline Fe2B.

摘要:
Geometrical shapes and diameter of nuclear tracks changes continuously during the process of etching for various incident angles. Besides, there is also a marked difference amongst their profiles, as evidenced by the SEM analysis, when the incoming particles fall on the detector at different angles of incidence. This work outlines this aspect of fission fragment tracks in a glass detector and has set out a few empirical relationship between the mean track diameter, d, and the etching time, t, within experimental limits. This study, therefore, sheds some light in the follow up the origins and chracteristics of heavy ions in some terrestrial and extra-terrestrial materials and also in studying the collimation accuracy of heavy ion bombardments. The implications of the results in discerning the measurements of incident angles of various types of ions are described in detail in the paper.

摘要:
Thermoluminescence response at different irradiation temperatures and photon energies has been studied. Analyses of the glow curve and the peak height of TLD 200, 600, 700 and CaSO4:Dy for irradiations using60Co,137Cs and226Ra were made.

摘要:
A Mössbauer study of125I implanted into silicon and germanium lattices with various dose values was performed. The spectra measured after thermal annealing suggested an off-substitutional site population for I in the silicon lattice. The Mössbauer spectra showed no difference in the hyperfine splitting of125Te after electron capture of125I in comparison with that obtained after the isomeric transition of implanted125mTe. The site populations of Te and I atoms after implantation and thermal annealings were concluded as being the same.
