摘要:
By the method of neutron diffraction, the structural changes in 2TeO2·V2O5glass, arising as a result of reactor irradiation with ∼1018n/cm2fast neutrons flux are investigated. A reduction of the coordination number of the Te atoms, as well as rupture of a part of the 0-0 bonds is observed.

摘要:
Annealing behaviour of nitrogen in helium-implanted α-Fe has been studied using the (p, p) resonance broadening technique to probe the depth profiles of nitrogen. By comparing the measured N profiles with the calculated vacancy and depth profiles of He it was observed that migrating nitrogen first occupies the He damaged sites and then the sites corresponding to the He range distribution. The calculated and experimental profiles were in excellent agreement. As a by-product of the trapping procedure the activation energies of the nitrogen dissociation from He-vacancy complexes and pure α-Fe and the modal ranges of the 5–60 keV He in α-Fe were extracted.

Copper single crystals were implanted off-axis at room temperature with carbon, neon, argon and xenon ions having energies ranging from 50 to 150 keV. Deep radiation damage was observed by α-particle channelling in a backscattering geometry. The total damage range was found to depend primarily on the ion energy, whereas the influence of the atomic number of the ion was significant only with xenon.

摘要:
Metallic glasses of Fe80B20and Fe80P13C7prepared by rapid quenching have been implanted with 40 keV Ar+, P+and B+ions at doses up to 2.1016ions cm−2at 273 K. The structure of the glasses was examined by X-ray diffraction. Crystallites of α-Fe and Fe3B, present in F80B20samples, either become highly defective or are amorphised. Implantation also produces structural changes in the amorphous Fe80B20(a-Fe80B20) phase as revealed by changes in the width β of the principal diffraction halo. Both disordering and relaxation effects are observed, dependent on the initial degree of order within the a-Fe80B20phase before irradiation. Implantation of F80p13C7results in an increase in the content of γ-Fe and Fe3P crystallites, already present before irradiation, and in the nucleation of α-Fe.

摘要:
The radiolytic degradation of proteins in oxygenated solution is initiated by the attack of OH radicals at a multiplicity of main-chain and side-chain loci to give a wide variety of oxidized protein sites. A major fraction of these oxidation reactions lead to the introduction of reactive carbonyl groups into the protein co-valent structure. With γ-rays the total carbonyl yield correspond to G(>CO)t≃ 1 for a number of different proteins. Outlined here is a sensitive chemical-spectrophotometric procedure for quantitatively monitoring G(>CO)tover a dose range of interest in radiation biology (1 to 50 Krad). Data obtained with pepsin, α-chymotryps in and β-lactoglobulin are discussed.

The results of structure investigations of antimony ion-implanted silicon layers after the pulsed nanosecond annealing by ruby laser have been presented. Formation of micro-twins and tetrahedrons of stacking faults has been found to take place on the initial amorphous/crystalline Si interface for various degrees of liquid Si overcooling.

摘要:
The atomistic model of the liquid phase epitaxial regrowth has been suggested. The model suggestes that the multiatomic (n > 3) nuclei are formed near the regrowth front and they as a whole are attached to the growing crystal. The present model is able to account for the orientation dependency of the crystal growth and to explain the pecularities of the defect formation during the pulsed nanosecond annealing.
