摘要:
Annealing of chemical radiation damage in γ-irradiated alkali metal nitrates is presented. The order of annealing, LiNO3> RbNO3> CsNOo, is in the reverse order of free space in these crystals. Sodium and potassium nitrates are less susceptible to thermal annealing. The annealing data have been analysed on the models of simple interstitial vacancy recombination and also on the basis of conventional chemical kinetics.

摘要:
The dosimetric behaviour of Li2B4O7:Mn, TLD-800, has been studied. This phosphor, in ribbon form, is manufactured by Harshaw Chemical Company. Useful of this phosphor in clinical applications is pointed out.

摘要:
A recent study on exfoliation of Mo single crystals at room temperature has shown that the major exfoliation occurs by spalling of the entire crystal surface prior to blistering on the spalled surface. However, minor or secondary exfoliation occurs by both the spalling and the blistering phenomena on planes not associated with the major exfoliation events. This secondary exfoliation is reported and discussed.

摘要:
The recovery curve of electron-irradiated chromium single crystals is measured in the temperature range of 77 K - 1050 K using positron lifetime technique. The annealing curves show two recovery stages which are situated at 350 K and 500 K, respectively. The recovery at these stages is suggested to be due to annealing of vacancy type defects.

摘要:
A classical theory of axial channelling in thick crystals is formulated and the Fokker-Planck kinetic equation is obtained. It describes the diffusion of the beam of axial-channe lling negative particles over the transverse energy and angular momentum due to the inelastic scattering from electrons and the thermal vibrations. Estimates of the dechannelling length of ultrarelati-vis. tic electrons are made.

摘要:
In studying the angular distribution of sputtered material from gold monocrystals when bombarded by 70 key molecular and atomic nitrogen ions some peaks have been observed at the angles θ2ε [80, 90°] with respect to the direction of ion incidence. It has been able to account for the origin of these peaks by the contribution to sputtering of surface primary recoils ejected from the target once after a single collision with the incident particles. The angular widths of observed peaks have been measured for two cases of ion beam orientation with respect to the target.

摘要:
Radiation penetration through, the walls of wide-aperture conical hole collimators in the case of extended sources has been studied. Expressions are derived for the penetration fractions due to plane sources taking into consideration the diameter and effective thickness of the detector. The ray-tracing technique is used to calculate the triple integrals. The penetration fractions for varying source position are presented for different cases.
