摘要:
Fifteen species ofHaenydrafrom continental and insular Greece, includingH. christinaesp.n. from the Peloponnesus (belonging to thegracilis‐excisaspecies group), are listed and briefly described. Detailed maps of the so far known distribution in the southern Balkans and in the Aegean areas of all the species dealed with are provided, including original drawings of the male genitalia of most species. The following new synonymy is proposed:H. excisassp.exclusad'Orchymont, 1931 =H. phallicad'Orchymont, 1930.H. aroensisFerro, 1991 is regarded as Peloponnesian subspecies ofH. subintegraGanglbauer, 1901 (stat. n.).Haenydra dalmatinaGanglbauer, 1901, erroneously recorded by Janssens (1965) from Greece, is excluded from the Greek fauna;H. leonhardiBreit, 1916, andH. phallicad'Orchymont, 1930 are both recorded from Greece for the first time.

摘要:
Geodessus kejvaliis described from the extreme south of India. It can be easily separated from the only other knownGeodessusspecies,G. besuchetiby a number of morphological features. The reduced natatorial setation as well as the deep lateral grooves on sternite 7 are here suggested as apomorphies forGeodessus. Some systematic problems are briefly discussed. The new species was sieved from leaf litter at the edge of a forest stream, and a summary is given of the known natural history ofGeodessusspecies.

摘要:
The effect of a dam on the life history of the dobsonflyProtohermes immaculatuswas examined by comparing two neighbouring streams with and without a dam on the small island Tokunoshima, southern Japan. Because the dam drains off surface water the temperature is increased downstream. The accumulated annual temperature above 12°C, the threshold for larval moulting, was 2400 degree‐days in the natural stream, but 3300 degree‐days downstream of the dam. Although the density of small prey (< 0.8 mm in width) was lower below the dam, large prey density (> 0.8 mm width) which is the important prey category for this size‐selective predator did not differ between the two streams. The larval period was 2 years in the natural stream. However, it was reduced to 1 year, and slightly smaller adults emerged, below the dam. Thus, temperature greatly affected the larval growth rate ofP. immaculatusand slightly altered their body size at maturity.
