摘要:
Abstract The complete mature nymph wing pad with distinct venation has been collected from Jiuquan Basin, Northwest China, which is almost without precedent in the fossil history of insect. The venation with large radial and costal fields is considered as archaic feature which very probably represents the primitive stage in the evolution of Ephemeroptera. Furthermore, as compared with the modern adult wing, the stronger articular sclerites in the fossil nymphal wing pad ofEphemeropsis trisetalisprobably shows that the reduction of the articulation in modern mayfly wing is a secondarily acquired characte

Abstract The multidimensional niches of two spider mitesTetranychus viennensisZacher andPanonychus ulmi(Koch) comprise eleven ecological dimensions (trophic, microclimatic. and biologic dimensions). Principal component analysis shows: some dimensions of leaf nutrition and microclimate perform more important function than the biologic dimensions in the mites' niches from June to August. 摘要:
Abstract With reference to the Sta 58 major antigen gene ofRickettsia tsutsugamushi(Karp strain), we had designed and synthesized a pair of DNA primers; and a kilobase fragment of Sta 58 is amplified for using in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with the primers.This is the first report on detection ofR. tsutsugamushiin trombiculids by using PCR technique. The experimental results indicated that the time for whichR. tsutsugamushicould exist in the adult ofLeptotromhidium deliensewhen inoculated into its abdomenal cavity was 360 days at least andR. tsutsugamushicould be transovarially transmitted to the offsprings for 4 generations; and the time for whichR. tsutsugamushicould exist inL. delienseafter biting the infective mouse was 270 days at least andR. tsutsugamushicould be transmitted transovarially to the offsprings for 2 generations. The results also showed that the PCK technique was highly specific and sensitive for detection ofR. tsutsugamushi;and the amplification of gene outside body to detect the rickettsiae in the body of trombiculid and mouse can be used as a new method for investigation of scrub typhus epidemiolog

Abstract Solutions or suspensions of polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin, white latex, agar cassava powder, rice flour and starch were used as synergists to improve the oviposition ofTrichogramma dendrolimi, T. confusumandT. evanescenswithin vitrorearing method. The ovipositional response ofTrichogrammaspp. to these synergists was different. All the 7 preparations improved the trichogrammatid oviposition much on the artificial host “eggs”. Abstract By using charcocal binding assay, the juvenile hormone binding protein (JHBP) was determined in the ovaries of houseflies. This ovarian JHBP possesses high affinity with juvenile hormone III (JH III) and has a Kdof 2.1 III 10‐‐8M. The binding of3H‐juvenile hormone III (3H‐JH III) to this protein was inhibited by unlablled JH III, but not by juvenile hormone analog ZR 512 or ZR 515. The level of this ovarian JHBP reached the highest in houseflies 48 h after emergence, and was 6. 5‐fold and 15. 5‐fold higher than that in housefIies 60 h and 72 h after emergence, respectively. No binding activity was detected in the ovaries of houseflies 24 h or 36 h after emergence. The absence of JHBP in the ovaries of houseflies 36 h after emergence could be reversed by applying JH III to newly emerged houseflies. The data suggest that the fluctuation of the JHBP concentration might associate with the action of juvenile hormone (JH) on housefly v
