AbstractWe investigate the case of deformations of even Galois representations. Our methods are the group theoretic ones mainly developed by Nigel Boston to study odd representations. We present conditions for Borel and tame cases under which the universal deformation ring is isomorphic to ℤp[[T]] and where we compute the universal deformation explicitly. Furthermore we produce a family of examples of totally realS3extensions which satisfy the above conditions in the tame case and we give examples in the Borel case. Finally we study the change of the deformation space under enlarging the ramification and thus give an example of an even representation that is not twist‐fin

AbstractClassical inverse function theorems of Nash‐Moser type are proved for Fréchet spaces that admit smoothing operators as introduced by Nash. In this note an inverse function theorem is proved for Fréchet spaces which only have to satisfy the condition (DN) of Vogt and the smoothing property (SΩ)t; for instance, any Fréchet‐Hilbert space which is an (Ω)‐space in standard form has property (SΩ)t. The main result of this paper generalizes a theorem of Lojasiewicz and Zehnder. It can be applied to the spaceC∞(K)if the compactK ⊂ ℝNis the closure of its interior and subanalytic; different from classical results the boundary ofKmay have singularities like cusps.
