摘要:
The order‐of‐magnitude discrepancy between experiment and a Kisslinger potential calculation of &pgr;−12Celastic scattering at 50 MeV disappears if kinematical corrections and higher order effects (Pauli‐ and short‐range correlations, absorption) are taken into account.

摘要:
The pion‐nucleon from factor in the static Chew‐Low model of pion‐nucleon scattering is determined from the elastic pion nucleon data. Crossing symmetry and the effect of the inelastic pion production channels on the elastic channel are included. The form factor is determined up to a momentum ofk=10m&pgr;by adjusting it to fit the pion‐nucleon data.

摘要:
A separable potential which fits the low and intermediate &pgr;‐Nscattering is proposed which is more convenient for applications than those separable models which use Regge parameterizations of the very high energy phase shifts. The form factors for this model are equal to zero for momentaq≳1 GeV/c, and are expected to provide more reasonable off‐shell behavior than the form factors obtained from those models based on the Regge extrapolation.

摘要:
The Klein‐Gordon equation with the external electromagnetic field is unambiguously formulated by the two component theory as shown by a lucid presentation of Feshbach and Villars1. Following Hamiltonian formalism, they wrote down a definite form of the Klein‐Gordon equation with a real, non‐momentum dependent potential for the strongly interacting pion system nearly two decades ago. In this pedagogical note we describe the Klein‐Gordon equation with less restricted optical potentials, relying on our guidance in field theoretical lagrangian.

It is shown that a hole‐line expansion of the pion self‐energy overestimates the quenching of the &pgr;Nscattering amplitude in nuclear matter, and that the inclusion of RPA‐type correlations is essential for a correct description.

It is noted that the suppression of the Born term in the pion‐nucleon interaction which is expected due to the action of the Pauli Exclusion Principle in a nuclear medium gives rise to a downward shift of the (3,3) resonance.
