摘要:
We have measured the spin correlation parameter Annin pp elastic scattering near &THgr;CM=90° from 1.10 to 2.75 GeV/c. We find that Ann(90°) has a pronounced peak at Plab&bartil;1.34 GeV/c, reaching a value of about 0.8–0.9.

摘要:
We present a fit to all the available kinds of spin‐observables of pp → pp at 6 GeV/c with the eikonal model involving the five independent spin‐dependent eikonals. The eikonals have proved to require three components; long‐range (2–2.5 fm), intermediate‐range (∼1.5fm) and short‐range (0.3–0.5fm) ones. The long‐range eikonals resemble quite well in range, sign and magnitude the ‘‘one‐pion‐exchange’’ established in the low‐energy NN scattering. Some discussions are given on the scattering amplitudes obtained.

摘要:
Inclusive scattering on4He and Ni has been measured at 500 MeV proton energy with polarized beam at laboratory angles of 65°, 90°, 120°, and 160°. The cross section data are well fitted by the direct knockout model. The analyzing powers show major differences in going from4He to Ni. This result may have strong implications for inclusive scattering theories.

The spin transfer parameters, KNNand KLLhave been measured in p&drarr;p → n&drarr;X at 0° and 800 MeV for neutron momenta between 700 and 1200 MeV/c. Peak values of KNNand KLLare −.3±.05 and −.5±.1 respectively.

The recent kinematically‐complete, polarized beam experiment of Hancocket al.1performed at LAMPF, provides high quality data on spin up and spin down differential cross sections (d&sgr;/d&OHgr;pd&OHgr;&pgr;dPp) for the reaction p↑p → p&pgr;+n and is a stringent test of single pion production (SPP) theories at medium energies.
