摘要:
Analyzing power measurements were obtained for the reaction2H(p&drarr;,p1) at Tp=500 MeV using the 1.6 GeV/c TRIUMF magnetic spectrometer in an attempt to find evidence for the possible existence of the pp&pgr; bandhead of the dibaryon system. Coincidence measurements of Ayat &thgr;lab=25°, 30° and 35° did not reveal any evidence for the existance of the pp&pgr; bandhead in this initial experiment.

摘要:
A Faddeev calculation is made for the &pgr;NN system of IJP+7=13‐. A resonance pattern is generated in the 3F3 NN phase parameter in qualitative agreement with experiment. The decay rate of the resonance into the &pgr;d channel is so small as 0.1%.

Widths and positions of NN¯‐resonances are calculated, starting from a momentum‐space one‐bosom‐exchange potential. Compared to former results based on r‐space potentials, the resulting widths are comparatively narrow.

The fourth‐order non‐iterative diagrams involving nucleon‐isobar intermediate states and including &pgr;‐exchange are calculated in momentum space, in the framework of non‐covariant perturbation theory. The effect of these diagrams on NN‐scattering phase shifts is studied.

摘要:
A review is made of elastic‐scattering optical‐model potentials for n, p, d, t,3He, and6,7Li nuclear scattering from targets with A≳6 in the bombarding energy range 4 to 1000 MeV. Summaries of cross section and polarization angular‐distribution data for n through3He are presented. Emphasis is placed on polarization phenomena leading to better understanding of the spin‐dependent terms in optical potentials. Recent advances in microscopic theories of nucleon scattering and folding models of composite‐particle scattering are surveyed.
