摘要:
I reportBphysics results from the CLEO collaboration, highlighting measurements of the Cabibbo‐Kobayashi‐Maskawa matrix elements |Vcb| and |Vub|. I report a recent measurement of |Vub| through study of theq2dependence ofB¯→ &pgr;lv¯andB¯→ &rgr;lv¯. I also describe new measurements of the inclusive semileptonic branching fractionB(B¯ → Xev¯) and of moments of the hadronic invariant mass spectrum inB¯ → Xlv¯, with impact on |Vcb|. © 2004 American Institute of Physics

We focus on a selection of mature analyses that demonstrate the capabilities of the experiment to extract interesting physics from the data. We present a measurement of the time dependentCPasymmetries in the decayB0 → &fgr;Ks0using a sample of approximately 120 millionBB¯pairs collected with theBABARdetector at the PEP‐II asymmetric‐energyBmeson factory at SLAC. The values of theCP‐violating parameters derived from a time‐dependent fit to the&fgr;Ks0sample areC&fgr;K= −0.38 ± 0.37 ± 0.12 andS&fgr;K= 0.45 ± 0.43 ± 0.07, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. © 2004 American Institute of Physics

摘要:
We report measurements of time‐dependentCPviolation in the neutralBmeson system using a data sample corresponding to 140 fb−1collected by the Belle detector at the KEKBe+e−collider. OneBmeson decaying into aCPeigenstate is fully reconstructed and the flavor of the accompanyingBmeson is identified by its decay products. TheCPviolation parameters are determined from the distribution of proper time intervals between the twoBdecays. Here, we cover a precise measurement of the Standard ModelCPviolation parameter sin(2&fgr;1), as well asCPasymmetry measurements in neutralBmeson decays intoJ/&psgr; &pgr;0and &pgr;+&pgr;−decays. © 2004 American Institute of Physics

CDF and DØ are caught between the idealistic projections from the mid‐1990’s based on the Run I results and their TDR’s on one side, and realistic extrapolations from the recent Run II measurements on the other. The main aim of the BaBar and Belle experiments is to test the Standard Model explanation ofCPviolation in theBsystem through measurements of the angles of the Unitarity Triangle. One angle (&bgr;/&fgr;1) is already well measured by the two collaborations. 摘要:
Thebb¯production cross section has been measured in collisions of 920 GeV protons off a nuclei target using the HERA‐Bdetector. The identification ofbb¯events was done via inclusive bottom quark decays intoJ/&psgr; by exploiting the longitudinal separation of theJ/&psgr; →l+l−decay vertices from the primary proton nucleus interaction, where both the &mgr;+&mgr;−and thee+e−decay channels have been reconstructed. The first measurement, using data collected during a short period in 2000, yields a cross section in the combined analysis of&sgr;(bb¯) = 32−12+14(stat)−7+6(sys)nb/nucleon. On the most recent data samples taken in 2002/03, a much more accurate measurement with the uncertainties reduced to 10&percent; is expected. © 2004 American Institute of Physics
