摘要:
The current situation for vector meson spectroscopy is outlined, and it is shown that the data are inconsistent with the generally accepted model for meson decay. A possible resolution in terms of exotic mesons is given. Although this resolves some of the issues, fresh theoretical questions are raised. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

摘要:
The Cryogenic Magnetic Detector (CMD‐2) and main it’s parameters are shortly described. The results for the cross sections ofe+e−annihilation into hadrons are presented in the c.m. energy range from 0.37 to 1.39 GeV. The total integrated luminosity of about 31 pb−1has been collected. The new results for the &rgr; and &ohgr; meson parameters were obtained. The pion form factor was determinated with a 0.6&percent; systematic uncertainty. The major decay modes of the &fgr; meson as well as multihadron final states have been studied in a broad energy range. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

摘要:
The review of experimental results obtained with SND detector at VEPP‐2Me+e−collider in the energy regions = 0.36 − 1.38GeV is given. The presented results include the following items: studies of the light vector mesons radiative decays, OZI‐rule and G‐parity suppressed &fgr;‐meson rare decays, &fgr;‐meson parameters measurements, studies ofe+e−→ &pgr;+&pgr;−&pgr;0process dynamics, &eegr; andKSmesons rare decays, &eegr; and &fgr; mesons conversion decays, and study of thee+e−annihilation into hadrons. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

Using data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB, we report preliminary results on resonance formation in two‐photon collisions. Tensor meson production has been studied in theK+K−,KS0KS0and &pgr;+&pgr;−&pgr;0final states.&khgr;c2production is measured in the &ggr;J/&psgr; decay channel. We also report results on the charmed meson decay lifetimes,D0-D¯0mixing, and prompt charmonia production. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

摘要:
We present recent results on light mesons based on Dalitz plot analyses of charm decays from Fermilab experiment E791. Scalar mesons are found to have large contributions to the decays studied,D+→ K−&pgr;+&pgr;+andD+,Ds+ → &pgr;−&pgr;+&pgr;+. From theK&pgr;&pgr; final state, we find good evidence for the existence of the light and broad &kgr; meson and we measure its mass and width. We also discuss recently published results on the 3&pgr; final states, especially the measurement of thef0parameters and the evidence for the &sgr; meson fromD+→ &sgr;&pgr;+. These results demonstrate the importance of charm decays as a new environment for the study of light meson physics. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

摘要:
Production of final states containing open charm (c) and beauty (b) quarks at HERA is reviewed. Photoproduction (PHP) of the charm meson resonancesD*,D0andDs, as well asD*production in the deep inelastic scattering (DIS) regime, are measured and compared to QCD predictions. The excited charm mesonsD10(2420),D2*0(2460)andDs1±(2536)have been observed and the rates of charm quarks hadronising to these mesons were extracted. A search for radially excited charm mesons has been performed. PHP and DIS beauty cross sections are higher than expected in next‐to‐leading order (NLO) QCD. © 2002 American Institute of Physics

The Fermilab experiment E835 is dedicated to the study of charmonium spectroscopy via direct formation of charmonium resonances in proton‐antiproton annihilations. 摘要:
I review possible resolution of theJ/&psgr;(&psgr;′) → &rgr; − &pgr; puzzle based on two inputs: the relative phase between the one‐ photon and the gluonic decay amplitudes, and a possible hadronic excess in the inclusive nonelectromagnetic decay rate of &psgr;′. The status of a universal large phase here is examined for its meaning and implications (including those for B‐physics). Since the future of tau/charm facility(s) are again under consideration together with a future anti‐proton facility at GSI, I propose to extend my review to include a broader discussion of charmonium physics. Outstanding questions like the status of the1P1state of charmonium, measuringD0−D¯0mixing and relative strong phases, status of molecular P(S) ‐ wave charmonia will also be discussed amongst others. © 2002 American Institute of Physics
