The authors relate the incidence of infestation with amebas to the level of hygiene on wards whose inmates have chronic psychiatric conditions. Those infested are in the “carrier” or inactive state with but a rare exception.

Much attention is being given to vaccination against measles. This is the report of a study with the inactivated vaccine among private patients. Though the vaccine was later shown to be of relative low potency, it did protect 50% of the children, and in those who developed the disease the illness was often mild.
