Nothing is known in regard to the etiology of this disease. Little is known concerning its life history in the untreated state nor its complications other than its evolution into disseminated lupus in a few instances. The antimalarial drugs have been found to be effective in treatment for no known reason. The author provides one of the few summaries which have followed on long-term follow-up observations.
