摘要:
No evidence of elevation of intraocular pressure or frank diabetic retinopathy was found on ophthalmoscopic examination of a group of 65 juvenile diabetics, 4 of whom had the disease for 10 years or more, attending a diabetic camp. These findings support the view that the development of ocular complications in diabetes is related to the duration of rather than to the severity of the disease or age at onset.

The authors have as their purpose the demonstration that individualized management of delivery in the woman who has had previous cesarean section is safe in other than the large hospital. Vaginal delivery is to be permitted when indicated, controlled only by careful observation during labor, and being prepared for emergency cesarean delivery.

The author reviews the results of palliative treatment in a large series of patients. The advantage of his study is that such management was carried out in the main under the supervision of one observer which reduces certain variables.
