摘要:
AbstractThe observation that multiple‐quantum (MQ) coherence size will saturate in a finite network of strongly coupled nuclear dipoles has proved useful in characterizing such materials as semiconductors, catalysts, and polymers. However, even when the size of the coherence does not reach a plateau, the dynamics of MQ growth can provide insight about the distribution and motion of such nuclei as1H and19F in solids. This article builds a relatively simple physical picture of MQ‐NMR in terms of the angular momentum operators and eigenstates of individual nuclear spins. The predictive power of this framework is examined for interpreting the behavior of large numbers of dipole‐coupled nuclei.
