摘要:
AbstractThe basic principles of homonuclear correlated spectroscopy, the COSY experiment, are presented. The underlying theory is given for a single pair of coupled spins. The differences between magnitude‐mode and phase‐sensitive experiments are discussed. Features of the cross peaks are described, and the procedure for carrying out experiments is given. Examples of both magnitude and phase‐sensitive COSY experiments are

摘要:
AbstractAll probes in NMR spectrometers must be“tuned”and“matched”to obtain optimum sensitivity. In the simplest electronic circuits, tuning and matching are accomplished by adjusting variable capacitors. These adjustments determine the impedance of the circuit; i.e., the extent to which the circuit opposes, or impedes alternating‐current flow. This impedance is the vector sum of the individual oppositions owing to the presence of resistors, inductors and capacitors in the circuit. When the impedance of the probe circuitry is equal to (matches) that of the high‐power, pulsed, radio‐frequency transmitter, power is efficiently transferred to the probe and pulse‐widths are minimized. Similarly, when the impedance of the probe circuitry matches that of the small‐signal preamplifier, the detected signal power is efficiently transferred to the amplifier and the signal‐to‐noi

摘要:
AbstractNMR spectroscopy is now a practical tool for analyzing myocardial biochemistry and structure. The technical aspects of performing biochemical measurements on the heart, as well as the information that can be obtained from various magnetic nuclides, are reviewed in this article. Special consideration is given to turnover of labelled compounds, cardiac energetics, and models of ischemic heart disease.

摘要:
AbstractExplicit expressions needed for the extraction of the chemical shielding tensor from the angle‐dependent chemical shifts are derived for orthogonal and off‐angle probe experiments. Assignment of symmetry‐related chemical shielding tensorsvia1) a semi‐empirical method and 2) angle‐dependent line‐widths due to heteronuclear dipolar couplings ar
