摘要:
(1) Destruction of bone in the sellar and para-sellar region of the skull has been found to occur in patients suffering from carotid-cavernous aneurysm. A search of the literature disclosed no previous reference to the changes caused by this condition and detailed descriptions are now given.(2) Two cases are illustrated showing persistence of bone changes after intervals of 20 and 1 years respectively, the changes consisting of erosion of the sella turcica, clinoid processes and sphenoidal ridge, together with enlargement of the sphenoidal fissure and optic foramen.

摘要:
The serosal membranes are singularly devoid of primary tumours. The following case of peritoneal endothelioma is reported because of its rare occurrence. The great majority of tumours spreading superficially over the peritoneum are secondary carcinomas, and the presence of a primary tumour, more especially of a benign type, is distinctly infrequent. Ewing states that highly characteristic conditions are produced in the pleura and peritoneum by endothelioma of these structures, and the gross and microscopical features were early recognised as the result of a specific process differing from ordinary carcinoma. This author considers the proper classification of these tumours as a somewhat fruitless matter of discussion. The morphology and physiology of the cells, and the general characters of the tumours derived from them, are more important than embryological considerations. Harvey, Dawson, and Innes set out a more or less anatomical classification. This working classification might best be explained on the basis that endothelioma is characterised by endothelial cell proliferation, which according to site, may be vasoformative or membroformative.

摘要:
Various authorities state that tubal obstruction accounts for female sterility in one-fourth to two-thirds of all cases examined. Tubal gas insufflation (Rubin), though a valuable test, gives no graphic information as to the normality or pathology of the tubes: this may be provided by the injection of iodised oils.

摘要:
This paper is based on a study of 257 cases of Hodgkin's disease, of which 38 cases showed radiologically demonstrable bone lesions, and of 213 cases of lymphosarcoma of which 15 cases showed bone lesions. Because of certain inadequacies of examination, these figures do not represent the true incidence of bone complications.

摘要:
The horseshoe kidney is probably the most important and certainly is one of the commonest forms of urinary tract anomalous development. It is a type ofmedian fusionand may be symmetrical (typical horseshoe) or asymmetrical (L-shaped kidney). Figs. 1 and 2 illustrate what may be regarded as the typical appearance of a symmetrical horseshoe kidney; the median fusion is at the level of the lower doles and crosses the third and fourth lumbar vertebræ the lower margin is well seen in the “plain” film (Fig. 1).
