In micropuncture studies the isotonic fluid absorption from the proximal convolution of the rat kidney was measured while simultaneously perfusing the peritubular blood capillaries. Diuretics were added either to the intraluminally injected fluid or the capillary perfusate. When applied peritubularly, all diuretics caused a strong inhibition of the isotonic fluid absorption. 15 % inhibition was reached in the concentration range 2–5 x 10–7M and 50% inhibition from 3 x 10–5 to 4 x 10–4M. The diuretics were also effective when applied intraluminally, although 100 times higher concentrations (1.5–6 x 10–5 M)were necessary to produce 15 %

Severe vitamin-E deficiency in rats causes a modification of the urinary steroid profile and a disappearance of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHA) from urine, and excretion of detectable amounts of pregnandiol. Steroid alteration is explained by the fact that enzymes associated with steroid metabolism are heme-linked proteins, which decrease in vitamin-E-deficient status with consequent steroid-metabolism alteration.

The acute effects of (–)Δ9-trans-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) were studied in several models of aggressive behavior. Chlorpromazine was twice as active as THC in blocking isolation-induced aggression in the mouse, and the ED50 values were 2 and 4 mg/ kg, respectively. Doses of THC which produced taming did not impair rotarod performance, but chlorpromazine caused motor depression at doses below those which attenuated fighting. Inhibition of foot shock-induced aggression in mice (ED50 = 22 mg/kg) and rats (ED50 = 14.9 mg/kg) by THC was considered to be related to the analgesic and /or motor depressant effects of the drug. There was an increase in the viciousness of septal rats 1 h after 20–80 mg/kg of THC; however, in another group of septal rats, THC (20 and 40 mg/kg) produced taming 3 h after administration. Imipramine (ED50 = 8.9 mg/kg) and THC (ED50 = 4.9 mg/kg) produced blockade of muricidal aggression in rats at doses below those impairing motor function. 摘要:
The action of hydrocortisone on the vascular reactivity in hemorrhagic shock was investigated. Hydrocortisone does not reduce the systemic pressor effect of norepinephrine and phenylephrine in dogs with hemorrhagic shock. The mesenteric vascular reactivity of norepinephrine and angiotensin is not significantly changed by hydrocortisone during hemorrhagic shock. A metabolic rather than hemodynamic action seems to be involved in the protective role of hydrocortisone in hemorrhagic shock.

The relative increase of heart work caused by aminorex in dogs is greater in the right ventricle than in the left. In contrast, noradrenalin, amphetamine, ephedrine and tyramine are more effective in the left ventricle. In contrast to sympathomimetics, aminorex increased the pulmonary vascular resistance more than the total peripheral resistance. This confirms that aminorex acts preferentially on the pulmonary circulation. None of the following substances can block the effect of aminorex on the pulmonary pressure of dogs: phentolamine, methysergide, promethazine, and a combination of phentolamine with methysergide or promethazine. As opposed to this, the increase in pulmonary pressure induced by noradrenalin, adrenalin, tyramine, 5-hydroxytryptamine or histamine can be blocked by phentolamine, methysergide, or promethazine. Phentolamine prevents the effect of aminorex on the pulmonary vascular resistance. The increase in the pulmonary artery pressure is caused by an increase in the cardiac output. Aminorex also acts preferentially on the pulmonary circulation of cats. This action is a peripheral one, because it is the same in spinal cats. Our experiments clearly show that the effect of aminorex on pulmonary circulation is not a sympathomimetic effect.
