Triethylcholine was invariably found to depress acetylcholine (ACh) release from isolated guinea pig ileum exposed to increased intraluminal pressure Two components of the triethylcholine action were observed. The first component was due to the ganglionic blocking action of triethylcholine, and the second, which could be readily antagonised by choline chloride, was regarded as the result of impaired ACh synthesis. Isolated fat cells from male rats were used to study the effects of nicotinic acid and some of its homologues upon lipolysis, adenyl cyclase, phosphodiesterase and cyclic-3’, 5’-AMP production. Only nicotinic acid and 3-pyridylacetic acid inhibited lipolysis, adenyl cyclase and cyclic AMP production consistently although some activity was found with ω(3-pyridyl) acrylic acid. None of the compounds tested altered phosphodiesterase activity. The data suggest that the antilipolytic compounds mediate their effects via the inhibition of cyclic AMP synth

The effects of both acute and chronic oral doses of , imipramine and a combination of these two agents Cyclazocine (acute) were determined on sleep-wake patterning in the cat. Acute cyclazocine (0.5 mg/kg), imipramine (2.5 mg/kg) and the combination (0.25 mg/kg cyclazocine plus 1.25 mg/kg imipramine) REM rebound significantly depressed REM sleep on the administration day, but in no case was any observed on the post-drug days. Cyclazocine depressed while imipramine and the combination increased NREM sleep. The combination induced marked behavioral changes and had a longer duration of action than either drug alone. Chronic, oral cyclazocine or imipramine (14 days) resulted in complete tolerance to the initial effects. The abrupt withdrawal of either agent resulted in a significant REM rebound that for imipramine reached a peak on the first post-drug day, but for cyclazocine did not peak until the third post-drug day.

摘要:
Lysosomal enzyme activities in the muscles of the hind legs of guinea pigs with traumatically induced edema were investigated. Acid phosphatase and β-glucuronidase activities in the injured muscles were higher than normal. Administration of t-AMCHA (250 mg per kilogram) reduced the edema in the hind leg as well as two lysosomal enzyme activities. t-AMCHA stabilized muscle lysosomes with respect to the release of lysosomal enzymes when lysosomes were labilized thermally. Lysosomal extract increased capillary permeability when injected intradermally and capillary permeability was suppressed by the injection of the mixture of t-AMCHA and lysosomal extract. t-AMCHA had no inhibitory effect on two lysosomal enzyme activities in vitro
