摘要:
SummaryGamma-encephalography is a new exploration method, introduced by Th. Planiol and based upon the study of the gamma-rays emitted outside the cranium by a radioisotope injected into the circulation.The originality of this method consists in the fact that tracer substances gather in the lesions themselves, especially in space-occupying lesions that become radioactive foci, easy to detect at the level of the scalp.This inoffensive and ambulatory method enables us not only to confirm the existence of a space-occupying intracranial lesion but also to ascertain its nature in most of the cases. Besides it supplies valuable topographic information and it gives a possibility of finding out the postoperative tumoral relapses.The description of three personal cases illustrates the possibilities of this promising method.

摘要:
Summary and ConclusionsFrom the results of the peripheral circulatory measurements with iodinated (I131) human serumalbumin, we may conclude :1.At rest, the relative blood flow is of the same importance in the calf as in the foot, as well in normal individuals as in patients with obliterative arterial disease. In the latter, however, the speed of the circulation averages lower values in the distal part of the lower extremities.2.Reactive hyperemia increases the relative blood flow in normal subjects, in both calf and foot. In patients with obliterative arterial disease, the blood flow is generally increased in the calf but often decreased in the foot. While this reactive hyperemia increases the speed of the circulation in the distal part of the leg in normal subjects, this speed of the circulation is on an average decreased in patients with obliterative arterial disease.3. Circulatory measurements made on the foot during a reactive hyperemia test is an excellent method to evaluate qualitatively as well as quantitatively the degree of ischemia in patients with obliterative arterial disease. It is also an objective test for evaluating therapeutic results.

摘要:
SummaryAfter having recalled the problems set up by the application of a ruling concerning protection against ionizing radiations and namely the actually insufficient number of persons competent in this matter, after having rapidly enumerated the nature of dangers to which human beings are exposed by ionizing radiations, the author explains the legal dispositions in force for the moment.These are essentially :—the general regulations for the protection of labour;—the law of 24 July 1927 concerning the compensation of damages caused by professional diseases, also the Royal Decree of 9 Septembre 1956 giving the list of these diseases;—the frame law of 29 March 1958 concerning the protection of the population against dangers resulting from ionizing radiations, which permits all measures necessary for the protection of the population to be taken by Royal Decree;—The Royal Decree of 12 April 1960 taken in execution of this law, ruling the detention and use of radioactive substances for medical use.The author hereafter gives a brief account of the scope of directions issued by Euratom and gives some personal impressions related to future rulings which should be elaborated.The author concludes by giving some practical advice to medical-biologists :
1)the rulings of the Royal Decree of 12-4-1960 concerning the use of radioactive substances are to be applied : these medical doctors must see their competence recognized by the Faculty and be able to have at their disposal specially fitted premises in hospitals or clinics;2)personnel employed in laboratories is subjected to the prescriptions of the General Ruling on the protection of labour;
3)installations must be authorized in accordance with the same ruling;4)on the practical side, certain publications can be usefully looked into,
namely those issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna,under the title :Manipulation without danger of radioisotopes, Security Collec-tion, I, II, III.
