摘要:
Available data concerning the synthesis of thioformyl compounds such as thioaldehydes,O-alkyl thio-formates, alkyl dithioformates, thioformamides, thioformyl halides and thioformylphosphine oxides, have been summarized and systematized in the present review. The importance of thioformyl compounds as intermediates, synthons and reagents in fine organic synthesis is discussed.

摘要:
Pseudochalcogens, their derivation, characterisation and reactivity will be discussed in this review. The pseudochalcogen concept has its origin in the first work on isosterism (Langmuir, 1919), in the cyanogen displacement principle (Madelung and Kern, 1922), the hydride displacement principle (Grimm, 1925) and the pseudohalogen concept (Birckenbach and Kellermann, 1925). In addition, the pseudochalcogen concept is closely connected with other modern pseudoelement models and integratable in more general ones, like the element displacement principle (Haas, 1982) and the isolobal concept (Hoffmann, 1982).

摘要:
The present state of knowledge concerning the formation of chiral carbon centers α to various sulfur substituents is reviewed. All the data are classified according to the valency of the sulfur in the sulfur-containing moiety. Thus, there are sections devoted to the formation of chiral carbon α to sulfenyl, sulfinyl and sulfonyl groups and to other, less common sulfur substituents. Within the sections appropriate subsections, concerning particular reactions, are included which allow the reader to find easily the proper subject.

This review article represents a collection of references explicit to all thionation methods and related thiocarbonyl derivatives found and described in the literature during the period 1985 to mid-1991. The classification of this review is based on the thionation reagent in the first instance and then on the type of transformation and the type of thiocarbonyl obtained. Special emphasis was also put on new thionation reagents which are described in Section 2. The synthetic applications of previously known thionation reagents, such as Lawesson's reagent and tetraphosphorus decasulfide for example, are presented separately through Sections 3 to 8 with as much experimental details as available. This collection of references was performed with the Chemical Abstract and the CAS on-line system with key words such asthioamide, thiolactam, thiopeptide, thionoester, dithioesterorthioaldehydeand those given below. Other references were found by screening (1) synthetic organic chemistry book series, (2) the issues of several journals for the year 1991 and (3) the reference sections of the articles found.

摘要:
The first extensive treatment of this subject by Ando1appeared about two decades ago and dealt primarily with stabilized sulfur ylides formed by a carbene-sulfide reaction and the different reaction pathways that followed. A more recent treatment by Anisimov and coworkers2focuses on the reaction of carbenes with unsaturated sulfides. The current endeavor will deal primarily with the reaction of carbenes with sulfides and polysulfides. Although literature prior to 1976 will be mentioned, emphasis will be on material published between 1976 and spring of 1991. Due to the bias already present in the literature, halo- and carboalkoxycar-benes form the core of the reactions. Other carbenes and carbenoid reactions are mentioned wherever appropriate.

摘要:
This review details new methods of preparation for thioorganic compounds derived from the electrogenerated species Sx2-and Sy2+. Since sulfur has poor solubility in the organic solvents used in electrochemisty it is introduced in the mass of the electrode together with powdered graphite to assure good electric conductivity. When it is used as a cathode at a working potential of about −0.9 V (vs. SCE), the nucleophilic species Sx2-is generated. With a working potential of 2.0 V it is possible to electrogenerate the electrophilic species Sy2+. Through reactions with various substrates we could prepare thiophenes, sulfur-containing heterocycles, sulfides, trisulfides, etc. A vicarious nucleophilic substitution has also been observed. High selectivity and regioselectivity are observed in reactions with Sy2+
