摘要:
The thermal contact conductance for a paper/metal interface and the effective thermal conductivity of paper samples were determined using an experimental contact conductance apparatus. The effects of pressure and moisture content on the thermal contact conductance and the effective thermal conductivity were investigated. The samples considered in the experiments consisted of paper machine samples from different sections of the drying section. The results are compared to those of the handsheets prepared in our laboratory.

摘要:
An experimental study describing the mechanisms of drying of a thick layer of natural crumb rubber is presented. The evolution of the ternventure profiles of the crumb and profiles of temperature and relative humidity of intergranular air and water content of crumb arc presented. These evolutions enable understanding of the internal mechanisms involved and lead to practical recommendations for the management of industrial driers.

摘要:
The effects of air temperature, air flow rate, residence time and moisture content on selected mechanical, chemical and biological properties of grain were investigated experimentally. It was found that for selection of approprtate conditions for grain drying the two most important foctors are: the moisture content of grain and the drying air temperature. This study suggests the ranges of these parameters depending on the expected utilization of the dried product.

摘要:
Vacuum osmotic dehydration leads a special behaviour of mass transfer in fruit-sugar soluion system.Vacuum treatments intensify the capillary flow function and increase water transfer ratio.but have no significant influence on sugar uptake.Fruits such as pineapples which have higher porosity are more suitable to be treated under vacuum during the osmotic dehydration.

Moisture desorption properties of fresh garlic (cv. Early Californian) were investigated at 20 °C to 7O° C and relative humidities ranging from 11% to 85% using the gravimetric static method. The slices were allowed to equilibrate in a constant humidity environment (hygrostats) maintained by salt solutions. The effect of temperature and relative humidity on thc equilibrium moisture content was highly significant (P < 0.0001). Four models available in the literature, namely the Chung-Pfost, modified Halsey, modified Henderson and the Guggenheim-Anderson-de Boer (GAB) were evaluated (the correlation coefficient, F-ratio and plots of residuals) to deterinhe the best fit for the experimental data. On the basis of the F-test, The modifled Henderson model was found adequate and the GAB model superior for characterising the sorption behaviour of garlic slices in the temperature and water activity range investigated.

摘要:
Sorption isotherms of shrimp heads ( adsorption and desorption ) were analyzed by the microclimate method as temperatures of 30, 45 and 60°C and conditions for shrimp heads conservation by drying were determined. Equilibrium time was reduced from normally 2–3 weeks to only 5–8 days by employing sulfuric acid at differentconcentrations and vacuum. The results were adjusted by Henderson and G.A.B. models and correlation coefficients were up to 0.9900 for the last model.
