摘要:
A mathematical model is developed to understand the heal transler characteristin ofa chill roll assembly used in the heat-set web-oflset printing industry. Thechill roll assembly permils the waling olpaper after the paper has undergone drying in an oven to allow for hardening of the ink The heat transfer is modelled and solved using a series expansion. The heat conducted from the paper at each roll is calculated from this, as well a temperature distribution through the paper and around the roll. The resulls are compared with a real system and the resulling error is found to be of the order of 5%.

摘要:
Mathematical analysis of convection drying in the falling rate period was used to determine the overall coefficient of diffusion as a function of temperature and moisture content. The mass diffusion equation and its series solution was adopted for a single wheat kernel, assuming that it can be represented by a sphere as a model system. The results of the experimental data and the calculations are presented in the graphical form.

摘要:
A dehumidifier is the heart of a liquid desiccant cooling system. In these systems, air is dehumidified using liquid desiccants and cooled with heat exchangers and/or evaporative coolers [I]. A Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) regression analysis was performed on experimental data from a packed tower desiccant dehumidifier tested at Texas Tech. The purpose of this analysis was to determine simple functional relationships for the liquid desiccant dehumidifier for use in computer models of liquid desiccant space cooling systems.

A new steam drying technique is presented which is realized by a heat pump bsscd onthe minimum energy cycles approximation. The main advantage of this heat pump. in comparison with the steam recompression drying technique, is the use of significantly smaller heat exchanging area which means considerably lower investment cost.

摘要:
An experimental study was conducted to explore the feasibility of silkworm cocoon drying with superheated steam. The influence of steam drying on the drying kinetics and the technological characteristics of the dried cocoons is discussed. A promising new technology of cocoon drying is suggested to improve cocoon quality and decrease raw cocoon consumption in silk production.
