AbstractThe construction of a photographic unit adjustable to a twocircle reflecting goniometer is described. It is designed for taking photographs of portions of the reflection pattern obtained from the object mounted on the goniometer head so that the whole pattern subject to visual examination can be recorded. The attachment is simple to make and easy to operate. The combination of a two‐circle reflecting goniometer with the photogoniometric unit has the advantages both of visual goniometry and of photogoniometry, eliminating their shortcoming

AbstractThe paper discusses methods of determining the spherical coordinates of the poles of reflections recorded on photographs obtained with the photogoniometric attachment, which is described in the first part of this paper, and examines the accuracy of the determined values as compared with the accuracy of the visual measurements with a two‐circle goniometer. One of the methods permits determination of (φ, ϱ) without making use of any measurements on the photographs obtained, viz. the reflection pattern of a portion of the surface recorded on the photograph is observed in the telescope‐microscope system of the goniometer, then some typical, easily recognizable points in it are selected and the (φ, ϱ) of their poles are determined through visual goniometric measurements, and after that these points are identified on the photographs and are marked there. It could be claimed that the accuracy of this method is equal to that of the visual measurements. The other method requires measurements of certain values on the photographs. The values measured are introduced in formulae for the particular type of camera used, from which the (φ, ϱ) are calculated. AbstractIm System BaO‐Al2O3‐SiO2wurden neben einem metastabilen Mischkristall Ba1−0,5xAl2−xSi2+xO8zwei stabile und eine metastabile Modifikation der Zusammensetzung BaAl2Si2O8untersucht. AbstractBeim Abkühlen von Co‐Mn‐Legierungen mit 4 bis 16,4% Mn wandelt sich die kfz. γ‐Hochtemperaturmodifikation martensitisch unter Volumen‐ bzw. Längenabnahme in die hexag. ε‐Tieftemperaturmodifikation um, wobei die Ms‐, As‐ und Af‐Temperaturen mit steigender Mangankonzentration absinken. Erfolgt die Umwandlung unter der Einwirkung einer äußeren Zugspannung, tritt Umwandlungsplastizität auf. Diese beruht hauptsächlich auf einer zur Spannungsrichtung orientierten Martensitausscheidung und ist mit bleibenden Verlängerungen nach Durchlaufen eines Transformationszyklus sowie mit einer Abnahme der Fließgrenze und des Elastizitätsmoduls verbunden. AbstractUrsache der Eigenspannungen in Si‐Einkristallen sind die Wachstumsbedingungen und die daraus resultierende Realstruktur. Das Eigenspannungsfeld ist annähernd axialsymmetrisch; im Zentrum treten Zug‐ und am Mantel Druckspannungen auf. Durch plastische Deformation während der Züchtung oder bei thermischer Nachbehandlung paßt sich das Eigenspannungsfeld der Kristallsymmetrie an. AbstractResults of absorption spectra studies in Mg doped Al2O3monocrystals are described. It is shown that due to Mg doping dye centres appear together with the associated additional absorption bands with maxima at 585, 475 and 260 nm. Kinetics of the formation (destruction) of these centres) of these centres in the process of thermal treatment is considered. An assumption on the nature of dye centres and the related absorption bands is proposed together with an evaluation of oscillator strength. Dependences of diffusion coefficients of the subject centres on thermal treatment temperatures are derived.
