摘要:
A method was proposed to estimate the stress distribution in anisotropic materials in consideration of the stress change in the thickness direction with the x-ray diffraction analysis, and calculation errors of the stress was examined numerically. Stress distributions with the error of 10 MPa for the stress and 10 MPa/μm for the stress gradient can be obtained when the diffraction angle is measured with the error less than ±0.02 deg. Influences of the number of measurement and the nonlinearity of the stress distribution were also examined.

摘要:
Due to the composite nature of the construction of flexible pipes, the determination of the deformations of their internal components is a difficult task, whether by theoretical or experimental means.

摘要:
The possibilities of using the variations of optical transmissivity Tr of translucent materials induced by cracks to derive a method for nondestructive control of large families of composites is considered. The objective is to assess for damage, due to diffuse microcracking. Sensitivity and precision are found to be quite promising. Examples of experiments performed on glass epoxy composites show that this method can give quantitative measurement of the damage defined as the relative reduction of the elastic stiffness of the material.
