ABSTRACT—Several forms of treatment of lower urinary tract functional disorders have been attempted in children with myelomeningocele (MMC). Intravesical electrical stimulation was attempted in 10 patients. Urinary control was achieved in one and in the remaining 9 either the bladder was resistant to stimulation or the children discontinued the treatment due to loss of interest. A combined anticholinergic and calcium blocking agent, terodiline, was tested in 8: symptoms improved in 4, but bladder compliance was unchanged. ABSTRACT—This study investigates the effects of: the mean daily air temperature; the mean daily atmospheric pressure; and the temperature evolution (cooling, stable or reheating) on the probability of cerebral infarction. Data were collected during a three‐year period in a country with a mild, maritime temperate climate. In men younger than 70, the probability of cerebral infarction mainly depends on temperature. Temperature is also the main statistically significant factor affecting the rate of cerebral infarction in women under 75; this effect is modulated by temperature evolution. ABSTRACT—The results of evaluation of the autonomic nervous system of a patient with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are presented. As previously reported, parasympathetic function and sympathetic adrenergic function were normal as assessed by cardiovascular reflexes. ABSTRACT—A 23‐year‐old patient suffering from mental deterioration was referred for CT study following her first epileptic fit.
