摘要:
AbstractThe correct structure of the reported 3‐aziridinyl‐6‐chloropyridazine was found to be 3‐[β‐(1‐aziridinyl)ethylamino]‐6‐chloropyridazine, which was confirmed by n. m. r. studies. The relative ease of nucleophilic displacement of a methylsulfonyl group versus a chloro group in equivalent positions on a pyridazine or a pyrimidine ring was compared. It was observed that the chloro rather than the methylsulfonyl group was preferentially replaced, as illustrated by substitution studies of 3‐chloro‐6‐methylsulfonylpyridazine and 4‐chloro‐

AbstractOxidation of amodiaquine with perbenzoic acid gave amodiaquine N‐α‐oxide, whereas N4‐methylamodiaquine and amodiaquine 1‐oxide afforded N4‐methylamodiaquine N‐α,1‐dioxide and amodiaquine N‐α, 1‐dioxide, respectively. Amodiaquine 1‐oxide,O‐methyl‐amodiaquine 1‐oxide, oxychloroquine 1‐oxide, and a variety of other 4 ‐ (7‐chloro‐4‐quinolylamino)‐α‐dialkylamino‐o‐cresol 1‐oxides and 7‐chloro‐4‐[(mono‐ and dialkylamino)‐alkylamino]quinoline 1‐oxides were prepared by the condensation of 4, 7‐dichloroquinoline 1‐oxide with a 4‐amino‐α‐(dialkylamino)‐o‐cresol, N‐α, N‐α‐diethyl‐6‐methoxytoluene‐α, ‐3‐diamine, or a mono‐ or dialkylaminoalkylamine in phenol or aqueous ethanol. AbstractThe crystal and molecular structure of 8, 8‐dimethyl‐8‐azoniabicyclo[5.1. 0]octane iodide has been elucidated. The aziridine ring is bridgedcisto the cycloheptane ring. The cycloheptane ring has been shown to have a distorted chair conformation. No close trans‐annular hydrogen distances have been observed. AbstractNuclear magnetic resonance spectra have been utilized in several instances to distinguish between ring closure to a derivative of imidazo[1, 2‐c]pyrimidine or pyrrolo[2, 3‐d]pyrimidine. N.m.r. studies have also been employed to select Vc as the most probable structure for 5‐methylthio‐2, 7‐imidazo[1, 2‐c]pyrimidinedione. Ultraviolet absorption spectra and n.m.r. studies in deuterium oxide support the conclusion that there is more aromaticity in the anion V g than in the neutral molecule.
