摘要:
The policy and format ofGeologiska Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandlingarare at present undergoing modifications, which will come into full effect in Volume 101. The principal purpose of these modifications is to improve the journal's efficiency in disseminating scientific results. The background to the most important and conspicuous changes is given, i.e. (1) the revision of the cover pages, (2) the change of logotype, (3) the restriction of papers on regional or local geology to the Nordic area, (4) the adoption of English (Standard or American) as the language of the journal, (5) changes in policy and the formulation of stricter rules for literature reviews, (6) the introduction of blank-page fillers, (7) the reintroduction of free separates for authors and the change to more economical ways of producing additional separates, (8) the introduction of keywords and manuscript date in the abstract block, (9) technical modifications, such as the abolition of abbreviated serial titles and capitalized book titles, (10) the change of paper, and (11) the introduction of rules for writing geographical and geological expressions based on Swedish geographical names.

摘要:
Detailed instructions for authors contributing toGeologiska Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandlingar(informally calledGFF) are given in the form of a check-list of 132 items. These instructions apply to all manuscripts from now on.GFFpublishes papers in English within the whole field of geology. Papers on regional or local geology should deal with the Nordic area or its geologically related surroundings. Papers on general and geographically unrelated matters are welcome without restrictions as to the content. The subject matter ofGFFshould maintain a certain balance between the three main sectors of geology in the Nordic countries, corresponding to the academic disciplines of Mineralogy and Petrology, Historical Geology and Palaeontology, and Quaternary Geology.GFFpublishes articles (papers exceeding four pages), notes (four pages or less), blank-page fillers (one-page contributions of diverse kinds, designed to fill out otherwise blank, left-hand pages at the ends of papers), literature reviews, and society proceedings. The aim is to publish articles within nine months of the date of submission; notes can usually be published more quickly. Manuscripts not arranged according to the instructions will be returned to the author(s) for rectification. Authors of articles will receive 100 free off prints, authors of notes 50 or 100, depending on the layout in each case. Pages in excess of 16 will be subject to page charges.

摘要:
Ore lead isotope ratios from 37 deposits in the Svecokarelian of Fennoscandia are linearly related. Although the anomalous Svecokarelian ore lead line is generally compatible with the Stacey—Kramer two-stage model for the growth of primary lead, closer inspection reveals that the ore lead isotope variations are more consistent with a continuous mixing process. The anomalous lead line is consistent with Hietanen's plate tectonic model for the Fennoscandian Svecokarelinides. The ore lead isotope ratios are spatially related to a trench related to a sub-duction zone in the south-west of the region. This relationship is comparable to that observed in the 1.8-Ga younger Japanese island arc. The Svecokarelian leads are not true primary leads, and the mineralization age given by the Stacey—Kramer model is a minimum age. The apparent source age probably has no simple geological meaning.

摘要:
Geochemical analyses of charnockitic and non-charnockitic fractions of the granite-gneiss formation of the Varberg Series are presented. Factor analysis of geochemical-variation trends indicates that the granite gneisses are meta-arkoses (potassic sandstones) of taphrogeosynclinal type. The possible significance of this finding in the interpretation of the development of the Precambrian crystalline complex of south-western Sweden is discussed.

摘要:
Because of the high accuracy required in tidal analyses the best fitting tidal model regarding the information content of the record has to be found. InGeol. Fören. Stockh. Förh. 99 (1)A. J. Anderson describes methods for the analysis of tidal records and refers to his own reports. His paper and the reports referred to show that methods of analysis lack solidity and that the conclusions drawn from the result are not sufficiently proved. The present paper outlines advanced methods of tidal analysis which are needed in order to obtain significant data for geophysical interpretation. Fourier- and power-spectrum analyses are discussed with respect to signal-to-noise ratio before and after drift correction. Examples are given for the application of Fourier- and power-spectrum analyses as well as coherence to gravimeter records and tilt changes recorded by two Askania borehole tiltmeters. On the basis of this a more progressive method of analysis is described, and the results of different methods are compared. Finally some aspects of the interpretation of tidal parameters are discussed.

摘要:
The shell ultrastructure of six auloporid coral species was investigated and shown to have been originally constructed of laminar calcite. The mineral succession begins with a subcuticular granular layer and continues with a secondary laminar layer, which makes up the bulk of the skeleton. The laminar layer is constructed of lath-like crystals 2–4 μm thick and 10–20 μm wide, and is penetrated by granular rods, which originate from the primary granular layer and protrude into the calicular cavity as spinose septa. The laminae deflect around the granular rods in an inwardly convex pattern.

摘要:
An acarid belonging to the still-living genusHydrozetesBerlese, 1902 was found in the Lower Sinemurian (Jurassic) in a core drilling from south of Höganäs, Skåne. Sedimentary rock firmly attached to the specimen proves that it is not Recent. The microfauna of Foraminifera and ostracodes indicates a marine environment. The find is the oldest oribatid hitherto reported in the literature.
