摘要:
ROMO, A. M., 1992. Contribution to the taxonomy and nomenclature of the vascular plants of Morocco. As a result of studies on the flora of Morocco, a number of new taxa and a series of new nomenclature combinations are proposed which are more in line with current knowledge. Three new taxa are described:Dianthus atlanticafrom the Great Atlas;Ranunculus spicatusDesf. subsp.fontqueriRomo, endemic to Er Rif, and a hybrid:Saxifraga × fontqueriRomo (=S. crenataPsau&Font Quer ×Saxifraga globuliferaDesf.). The following new combinations are made:Astragalus gomboCosson&Durieu subsp.pseudogombo(Fernandez Casas) Romo,Avenula bromoides(Gouan) H. Scholz subsp.cincinnatus(Ten.) Romo,Chaenorrhinum origanifolium(L.) Fourr. subsp.flexuosum(Desf.) 摘要:
CAMPBELL, D. G., STONE, J. L.&ROSAS Jr, A., 1992. A comparison of the phytosociology and dynamics of three floodplain (Várzea)forests of known ages, Rio Juruá, western Brazilian Amazon. An unusual historic accident has resulted in three adjacent inundated(vórzea)forests of known ages (50 years old, 14–50 years old, and 14 years old), on the margin of the Rio Juruá, near the village of Rodrigues Alves in western Acre, Brazilian Amazon. One‐hectare quantitative inventories (500 × 20 m) were conducted on each of the three forests. Physical characteristics of the plots, including soil particle size, soil cation levels, level of inundation and rate of soil deposition were measured. Plot 1, steeply sloping and ecotonal betweenvárzeaandterra firme, was infrequently flooded, with a mean high water mark of 0.0. Plot 2, on slightly undulating terrain, had a mean high water mark of 1.16 m. Plot 3 was level and deeply‐flooded, with a mean high water mark of 4.00 m. All trees ≥ 10 cm diameter at breast height (dbh) were mapped, measured and identified to species. Plots 1, 2 and 3 contained 523, 420 and 777 trees, 106, 73 and 20 species, Shannon diversity indices of 3.60, 3.51 and 1.82, and stand basal areas of 25.46 m2, 27.01 m2and 25.72 m2, respectively.Alchomea triplinerviawas the superior competitor on species‐rich plot 1;Annonasp. strongly dominated in the limiting conditions of plot 3. On plot 2, no single species was able to achieve dominance. For the 25 species withN≥ 10, habitat specialization as a function of the level of annual inundation was demonstrated, and for five of these species that occurred on plot 1, further refinement of niche as a function of gradient was demonstrated. One‐year mortality in plots 1, 2 and 3, was 1.99%, 1.56% and 1.70%, respectively. In Plot 3, 77% of the mortalities were trees that had died standing, vs 40% and 4

摘要:
WILKIN, P., 1992. The statusof Amaranthus bouchoniiThellung withinAmaranthusL. sectionAmaranthus:new evidence from studies of morphology and isozymes. The introduction of the closely related weedy taxa ofAmaranthusL. sectionAmaranthusinto Europe has resulted in a number of taxonomic problems, especially regarding the rank ofA. bouchoniiThell. Electrophoretic separation of five isozymes (phosphoglucoisomerase, phosphoglucomutase, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, malate dehydrogenase and menadione reductase) and morphological studies were used to generate new data on this problem, and canonical discriminant analysis of morphometric characters was carried out. The results obtained support the maintenance ofA. bouchoniias a distinct taxon, most closely related toA. powelliiS. Wats. The origin of this taxon is considered, and the monomorphism of the isozymes studied is discussed in the light of the extensive morphological variation within species in sectionAmaranthus.

摘要:
RICO ARCE, M. DE L., 1992. New chromosome counts in neotropicalAlbizia, HavardiaandPithecellobium, and a new combination forAlbizia(Leguminosae‐Mimosoideae‐Ingeae). New chromosome records are given for 11 species and one hybrid in the generaAlbizia, HavardiaandPithecellobium, some of which are illustrated. All have the diploid chromosome number2n =26, which is widespread in Ingeae with the exception ofCalliandra(2n= 16 and 22). Additionally, a new combination for the genusAlbiziais formali

摘要:
TOURN, G. M., TORTOSA, R. D.&MEDAN, D., 1992. Rhamnaceae with multiple lateral buds: an architectural analysis. A study was made of the morphology and architecture of three species of Rhamnaceae(Ziziphusjujuba, Zjziphus mistolandPaliurus spina‐Christi)with multiple lateral buds. The developmental potential of individual meristems of bud complexes was studied and different kinds of shoots were recognized: vegetative long shoots (dominant and subordinate), flowering branches, short shoots and thorn‐tipped branchlets. According to the different orders of branching and the patterns of growth, the architectural model for every species was determined. The architecture of the three species does not conform to that of known tree models.Ziziphus mistolandPaliurus spina‐Christihave an architecture intermediate between Attim's and Roux's models;Ziziphusjujubaresults in a combination of Koriba's and Roux's m

摘要:
JARVIE, J. K.&BARKWORTH, M. E., 1992. Anatomical variation in some perennial Triticeae. Cross‐sectional anatomy of glumes and leaf blades was examined in 22 taxa of the perennial Triticeae. The taxa included diploids and polyploids based largely on various combinations of the E, J and S genomes. The objective was to determine how much correlation exists between anatomical characteristics and genomic constitution. The data were analysed by principal co‐ordinate and cluster analyses. The results showed that monogenomic species based on different genomes were readily distinguishable on glume and leaf blade features. Most heterogenomic taxa exhibited some aspects of each genome present except in the case of JE allotetraploids, which exhibited no E genome characterist
