摘要:
HYDE, K. D., 1992. Fungi from decaying fronds ofNypa fruticans, including three new genera and four new species. Decaying fronds and exposed stems of the mangrove palmNypa fruticanswere collected from beaches and intertidal regions of mangroves in Brunei and examined for the presence of higher marine fungi. Forty‐three species were identified, four of which are new to science. The fungi included 32 Ascomycotina, one Basidiomycotina and ten Deuteromycotina. Three new genera and four new species are described and illustrate

摘要:
UMIKALSOM, Y., 1992. Anatomical studies of the Malaysian Aspleniaceae and Athyriaceae. The xylem strands observed in 15 species of the Malaysian Athyriaceae appear to provide useful characters for distinguishing between the genera.AlhyriumandDiplaziumshow a similar type of xylem strand: they possess two xylem strands in their stipe. In contrast, the stipe ofDepariashows five xylem strands at the base of the stipe. The two types of xylem strand seems to support the taxonomic segregation of the genera. In Aspleniaceae, all 12Aspleniumspecies studied are similar: they have binary xylem strands in the stipe which unite in the rachis to form a single X‐shaped stran

摘要:
MARHOLD, K., 1992. A multivariate morphometric study of theCardamine amaragroup (Cruciferae) in the Carpathian and Sudeten mountains. A multivariate morphometric study of theCardamine amaragroup based on 55 population samples, collected throughout the Carpathian and Sudeten mountains in Czechoslovakia, Poland, Ukraine and Romania, is presented. Among the multivariate methods, principal component analysis, cluster analysis, classificatory, canonical and stepwise discriminant analysis were used. The analysis of chromosome numbers from all studied populations showed the same diploid chromosome number: 2n = 16. Together with the results of multivariate morphometric analysis this led to the conclusion that the best way of classifying this group in the area studied was to divide it into two subspecies–Cardamine amarasubsp.amaraandC. amarasubsp.opicii.Tetraploid populations of this group occurring in the Alps require further stud

摘要:
KHATIJAH, H. H., CUTLER, D. F.&MOORE, D. M., 1992. Leaf anatomical studies ofEugeniaL. species from the Malay Peninsula. The leaf and petiole anatomy of 25 Malaysian speciesof EugeniaL.sensu latowas investigated to determine the value of vegetative anatomy for the identification of non‐flowering material. Twelve characters proved useful for the identification of species: type of stomata; shape of leaves in T.S.; shape of midrib bundle; sclerenchyma sheath; cutinization of outer epidermal wall; presence or absence of sclereids, idioblasts, hypodermis, columnar epidermal cells, solitary crystals; number of palisade layers and the shape of vascular strand, sclerenchyma sheath and sclereids in the parenchyma of the petiole. Using these characters an anatomical key was constructed to assist identification of the species. Only the closely related speciesE. stapfianaandE. nilidulacould not be separated on anatomical characters. The anatomical data support the treatment of Henderson (1949) of sectionAcmenabut not of sectionsCleistocalyxandFissicalyx, which fit better in sectionSyzygiu

摘要:
ROWLATT, U.&MORSHEAD, H., 1992. Architecture of the leaf of the greater reed mace,Typha latifoliaL. The construction of the leaf ofT. latifoliais that of a lightweight cantilever beam of sandwich type mounted vertically. A continuous leaf‐handed twist starts at the base of the leaf, proceeds gradually throughout its length and becomes most pronounced toward the tip. It is argued that this construction prevents buckling under natural conditions and injury in storm
