摘要:
AbstractInfrared photographs of a chestnut (Castanea sativa) stand of northern Switzerland which was severely infested byCryphonectria parasiticawere evaluated to document disease progress. Two original infection foci were identified in the photographs. These foci were strongly correlated with the distribution of the two vegetative compatibility groups ofC. parasiticastrains found there, suggesting that two independent introductions of the fungus occurred within this stand.
