摘要:
AbstractA correlation between amino acid utilization and pathogenicity among five strains ofCeratocystis ulmi(Buis.) Moreau has been observed. Conditioning inoculation with a non‐aggressive strain ofC. ulmirendered white elm seedlings resistant to further attack by an aggressive strain of the same pathoge

摘要:
AbstractBy exposingPinus radiataseedlings toDothistroma piniinfection in the field over a period of 3 years, the main infection period in the central North Island of New Zealand was found to be from November to February (late spring to late summer). No infection was obtained when the air temperature was below 7°C or when the leaf wetness period was less than 10 hours

AbstractStudy on the ascospore release of Lachnellula willkommii (Hartig) Dennis in East of France. We studied the airborne ascospores ofLachnellula willkommii(Hartig) Dennis during 2 years in the Arboretum ?Amance (Meurthe‐et‐Moselle, 15 km north‐east of Nancy) in a plot ofLarix deciduaMiller.Lachnellula willkommiireleases, all the year, ascospores which are able to germinate. Ascospore discharge is related closely to rainfall, and temperature has an effect, only when daily mean temperature is negative (no emiss

摘要:
AbstractMorphological classification of oak and beech ectomycorrhizae in the north‐east of France. The mycorrhizae are classed into three main groups (according to the structure of the outer mantle and of attached mycelium) and thirteen types. Each type is illustrated by photographs and a precise description. The morphological differentiation from group 1 to group 3 is pointed out, in relation to the place of the fungus in the systematic classification of species. The possible relationships between the morphology of mycorrhizae and their nutritional efficiency is discusse

摘要:
AbstractA disease ofSorbusspp. is described in which the main symptoms are formation of cankers and extensive dieback of primary branches. A culture programme revealed thatCytospora rubescensFr. ex Fr. (Fungi Imperfecti, Sphaeropsidales) was constantly associated with the disease and inoculation tests proved its pathogenicity.

摘要:
AbstractPast research on the Watermark disease of While willow is reviewed. Recent work onErwinia salicissuggests that the organism alone cannot produce disease symptoms, but that an additional substance or factor is required before the characteristic syndrome develops.
