摘要:
Crystalline silicon photovoltaic cell technology status is examined in this paper with respect to its maturity and its ability to be profitably adopted into commercial production. Questions regarding the investment community confidence in the technology are raised and discussed as well as the timing of developing advanced production plants for photovoltaic energy generators.

摘要:
Night sky radiation measurements have been carried out in June in Athens. Computations of the correlations with the most common type of equations used for sky radiation are performed. Brunt, Brutsaert and Idso type of equations fit well with experimental data. In terms of the zero intercept, equations (of polynomial type) correlating the sixth power of the screen level air temperature and the square of vapour pressure show better behaviour. City pollutants do influence the sky radiation. The equation that best fits to the experimental data is of polynomial type and includes the square of the sum of the partial pressures of four city pollutants as well as the sixth power of screen level air temperature and the square power of vapour pressure.

摘要:
A simple straight forward transient analysis of a single basin solar still has been presented by incorporating the effect of presence of dye and attenuation of solar flux with depth in the water mass of the basin. An explicit expression for water and glass temperature, hourly yield and efficiency of solar still have been derived. Effect of various parameters viz temperature dependence of internal heat transfer coefficients, water depth, absorptivity of water mass and basin liner have been discussed in detail. An experiment has been conducted to validate the theoretical results obtained by present theory. It is concluded that
