摘要:
By 1991 a new plant for management of radioactive waste will be erected in the CINR. Thus increased atomic safety and radiation protection will be attained, the economy of waste management and the quality of the conditioned waste will simultaneously be improved. Facilities for volume reduction (evaporation, press compaction, solidification) and conditioning (solidification, packing) will be available for the treatment of radioactive waste. A novel handling technique will ensure safe handling of radioactive waste conditioned for repository. The facilities mentioned above will be installed in a building of about 25000 m3.

The positron emitters18F and11C have been evaluated for their suitability in whole-body autoradiography (WBA). The autoradiographic representation of the biodistribution of 218F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18FFDG).18FNaF and L-S-11C-methyl-methionine is given as an example. It was possible to obtain good autoradiographic pictures of these compounds in spite of the short physical half-time by modifying the whole-body autoradiographic technique. The modified WBA provides a valuable method in biodistribution studies on animals of radiopharmaceuticals for use in positron emission tomography (PET).

The isolation and purification of intrinsic-factor from hog pylorus mucosa is described. The VitB12-binding capacity of the isolated pyloric powder is determined using different methods. The purified hog-intrinsic-factor is the starting-substance for the production of a VitB12-IF-preparation.

At the catalytic tritiation of 5-Formyluracil (5-FU), different compounds are generated. The kind of the species depends on the reaction conditions. 5-FU is one of the derivatives of uracil which are slightly approachable to a catalytic hydrogen isotope exchange. This isotope exchange in the formyl group seems to be favoured above the 6-position in the uracil ring, because of its greater reactivity. After separation of the impurities, we obtained tritiated 5-FU with a specific radioactivity of nearly 1480 GBq/mmol and a radiochemical purity >98%. The pressure of tritium gas was <25 kPa. The catalyst we used was PdO(1.4%)/BaSO4. With the same catalyst we obtained 5-Hydroxymethyl[hydroxymethyl-3H]- uracil by raising the pressure of tritium gas to 50 kPa. Hydrogenation of the 5.6 double bond occurred by an additional raising of the pressure to 75 kPa and we obtained 5-Hydroxymethyldihydrouracil (5-DHMU) [1].

摘要:
The fission molybdenum-99 production facility in Rossendorf (AMOR-I) has been in continuous operation since April 1981. ECH-1 type fuel elements of the Rossendorf reseach reactor (RRR), after short irradiation (190 h), are dissolved in 6 N HNO3 almost every week. From this highly-active solution (1015Bq) molybdenum-99 is separated by an adsorption process with AI2O3for the production of99Mo/99mTc generators for medical use (1.2).
