摘要:
On the basis of economical importance of mass determination of material streams, especially in agriculture, the radiometric measuring principle was proved as the priority solution for estimation of the transported masses. Optimal arrangements of sources and detectors with a minimum influence of material cross distribution on the weighing processes were found by theoretical and experimental studies. This radiometric conveying mass gauge was subjected to a serial of tests under research and agricultural conditions. The influence of various factors (e.g. moisture content, crude ash content, kind of agricultural material) was studied.

摘要:
Important nucleargeophysical techniques, their peculiarities, their principal construction and mode of operation are considered and illustrated by a table. Particularly the conventional, nonspectrometric, but also the spectromelric techniques in boreholes are treated, taking into account an unification of the measuring equipment. The necessary electrical-electronical and mechanical sub-assemblies are described. Some measuring examples with such devices using scintillation techniques together with the computerized well logging equipment KAD-601 show the multiplicity of the possibilities and their efficiency.

摘要:
The influent and effluent characteristics of river Ganga in the Hardwar-Narora sector in Uttar Pradesh, India was studied using environmental oxygen-18. δ18O of river water and also of groundwater close to the river course was monitored at 8 stations along the 220 km stretch for a period of ten months. δ18O of the river during the monsoon months (June to September) was about – 10 at all the stations. However, during the dry months from October to April, the δ18O of the river was enriched progressively from Hardwar to Narora. The enrichment indicated groundwater contribution to the river during the non-monsoon months. The contribution was comuted using the principle of isotope balance.

摘要:
A method is proposed for the chemical separation of the rare earth elements (REE) in samples with a high uranium content (0.1% to 3%) with the subsequent γ-ray irradiation in the microtron MT-25. For the quantitative determination of REE the relative analysis method was used. The method allows to analyse the massive samples (from 3 to 10 g) and provides rapidity and good sensitivity (from 10−4% for Ce to 10−5% for Eu).

The experiment was performed on 192 Wistar rats irradiated with 154.5 mC kg−1. Therefore, the animals were divided into 5 groups and were treated as follows: group I, controls, with Cs-137; groups II and III with Cs-137 followed by 2-fold administration of ferric ferrocyanide (FF) and ammonium ferric-cyanoferrate (AFCF), respectively; groups IV and V with Cs-137 followed by 6-fold and 10-fold administration of FF and AFCF, respectively. Organ and muscle (16 samples) concentrations of Cs-137 in groups I–III were measured on days 1, 3, 5 and 7, and those of groups IV – V on day 7 after the contamination. The results indicated that in rats contaminated internally with Cs-137 one day post irradiation 2-fold treatment with FF and AFCF in the day resulted in a similar and significant decrease of Cs-137, whereas manyfold treatment (6× or 10×) with these agents did not increase their decontamination effectiveness.

摘要:
The heterogeneous exchange reaction between cobalt ions in solution and Co3Co(CN)62· 12 H2O has been studied. It is found that the exchange rate increases as the concentration of Co2+ions in solution decreases. The results show that the exchange rate is controlled by the surface reaction at the solid-liquid interface. The activation parameters Ea, ΔH#, ΔS#, and ΔG#are calculated.

摘要:
Different models for description of the radiation field, built according to the point-kernel method, are considered. Their adequateness is discussed on the basis of a theoretical calculation by the Monte Carlo method of the exposure rate distribution around pencil type Cobalt 60 source, part of a source rod. The choice of the model for routine exposure rate estimation depends on the layer thicknesses between the source points and the field point.

摘要:
The effect of initiator, monomer concentrations, temperature and reaction time on grafting of methyl methacrylate and saw dust were studied. Graft polymerization of methyl methacrylate on to saw dust was evidenced by means of IR spectroscopic technique. A comparative study of chemical and radiation–induced grafting methods are made. The chemical–initiated copolymerization treatment with water as the swelling agent can yield high grafting efficiency, whereas the radiation–induced copolymerization treatment gives very low grafting efficiency.

The publication demonstrates chelation studies of ferric ion with 1,2 bis (beta-aminoethoxy)ethane N, N, N,, N, sodium sulfonate triacetic acid (ASTA). The results showed the effectiveness of ASTA as a chelating agent by molar ratio, continuous variation and slope ratio methods. Stable complex 1:1 was formed at pH form 3.5 to 7. Solution of Fe (ASTA) chelate of different mole ratios at pH 3.5 and 7.5 were irradiated by gamma radiation for different doses. The results showed that a linear decrease of absorbance with dose was obtained which can be utilized as a dosimeter for weak dose rate in the studied range. A proposed radiolytic mechanism is discussed. The degradation of ligand was due to OH radical.
