Aufbau und elektronische Funktion eines Detektorsystems für integrierende Messungen von Radon in der Bodenluft werden beschrieben. Es besteht aus einer Halbleiterdetektorsonde und einer separaten Auswerteeinheit.

Die Anwendung von Radioisotopen unter den Bedingungen der Technik erfordert häufig die Übertragung von Meβsignalen zwischen Meβpunkt und Meßeinrichtungen, wobei mitunter einige hundert Meter überbrückt werden müssen. Da direkte Kabelverbindungen meist nicht möglich sind, wurden am Institut für Arbeitsmaschinen an der Technischen Hochschule in Poznań drahtlose Impulsübertragungen der Meβsignale versucht und unter Praxisbedingungen eingesetzt.

Eine neue Methode zur Untersuchung der Oberβächeninhomogenitāt mit Hilfe der Festkörper-Spurdetektoren wurde entwickelt. Die Vertcilung der Spuren gibt einc gute Möglichkeit, den kathodischen bzw. anodischen Flächenteil von Metalloberflāchen zu bestimmen. Die beschriebene Methode ist relativ einfach. Sie erlaubt eine Prognostizierung der Anfllösungsstellen bzw. der Stellen, wo Rosterscheinungen zu erwarten sind.

The parameters affecting the vacuum distillation method for quantitative separation of ammonium and nitrate for mass spectrometric determination of15N were investigated. The vacuum distillation was found to be advantageous to steam distillation method because no interference from organic compounds was encountered, greater volumes could be processed and no previous evaporation of the water samples was necessary. The mass spectrometric isotopic analysis of nitrogen 15 proved the suitability of the vacuum distillation method for quantitative separation of ammonium and nitrate.

An equipment for the speed δ18O analysis of water samples is described. It used the equilibrium isotopic exchange reaction between water and CO2gas. Outgasing of samples through capillary without freezing down the samples, together with shaking during the equilibrium time, reduced considerably time for sample preparation.

The uptake capacity of six natural local clays and one synthetic resin for thorium and uranium was determined at optimum pH values, fine mesh size of the clay and maximum time of uptake. The capacity of clay-4 was found to be 30 meg/100 g for Th4+, and 14 meg/100 g for. Precise estimation of uranium and thorium was made using a developed spectrophotometric method. Static and dynamic studies have been carried out. Kinetic studies on the ion exchange behaviour of thorium and uranium revealed two processes, a fast uptake mechanism at low pH due to ionic species and a slow one at higher pH due to polymeric species.

Durch LiF/Teflon-Beschiehtung von Aluminiundlechen im Spritzverfahren wurden füur einen Routinceinsats in gröβcrem Umfang geeignete Thermolumineszenzdosimeter hergestellt, die die Messung der Hautdosis bei äuβeren Strahlenbelastungen durch β-Strahltung sowie durch Röntgen- und γ-Strahlung bis zu den niedringsten für den Strahlensclarutz releranten Energien gestatten. Energieabhängigkeit, Meβgcnauigkeit und Meßbercich, Fading und Einfluβ von Umgebungsbedingungen wurden im einzelnen untersuchd. Beim 5. Internationalen Meβvergleich von Personendosimetern der RGW-Länder wurden die Detektoren erfolgreich getestet.

During the period 1975—1980 in Bulgaria 6 TLD postal dose intercomparisons including all teletherapy units have been performed. LiF powder TLD-100 and a Harshaw TL analyser model 2000 have been used. The fading effect and the accuracy of the dose measurements for60Co gamma rays have been investigated preliminarily. The fading is below 1% for 30 days. The sensitivity of the reading equipment has been investigated using the mounted check light source. By means of a statistical analysis it was determined that the relative uncertainty due to unstabilities in the sensitivity is ±0,24% at confidence level P = 0,95 for a set of 10 successive check source readings. In the same manner the relative uncertainty of the dose measurements using one TL detector (4 measurements) was determined to be ±1,6% at P = 0,95. The intercomparison performance method is described and the results from the six intercomparisons are presented.

The production procedure of99mTc generator on the basis of the fission product99Mo is developed. The generator columm contains chromatographic alumina on which, under the given set of conditions,99Mo is adsorbed. The99mTc, formed at the radioactive decay of the99Mo, is eluted with the sterile and pyrogen-free saline solution which is passed through the column due to the vacuum in the collecting vial. The procedure enables the production of generators of the activities ranging from 3.7 to 11.1 G Bq. Almost all99mTc activity can be obtained in 10 ml of eluence. Technctium in the form of radionuclidic, radiochemical and chemical pure99mTc pertechnetate is obtained in sterile and pyrogen-free solution. The eluate does not contain oxidizing agents and is suitable for a direct administration.
