摘要:
Among many factors affecting processes of the suspension removal in settling tanks an important role play turbulent mixing and resuspension of sediment deposited on the bottom of tank. For the purposes of removal process analysis the mathematical model of suspended sediment transport has been established. The model has been used for prediction of removal efficiency of laboratory-scale rectangular settling tank. For evaluation of parameters characterizing flow patterns and sediment falling velocity the radiotracer method has been used. The application of the model has been verified in laboratory conditions with satisfactory results. That gives base for planned study of industrial full scale rectangular settling tanks.

摘要:
The work on the verification of the method of the evaluation of removal efficiency in rectangular settling tanks, is presented. The method has been checked earlier in laboratory scale [1]. The experimental work was carried out on a preliminary settling tank and on a secondary settler of activated sludge. The method was found suitable for sediments which do not undergo flocculation.

Classical mathematical model of the flow for a valuation of dynamics of the molten glass flow within the tank furnaces and in compliance with the complex flow model has been analyzed. Investigations of the model of the tank furnace by impulse-response method using140La radionuclide has been discussed. Obtained technological and dynamical parameters of the industrial and model tank furnace were compared using the Wolf-Resnick complex flow model and MARMOD mathematical program.

The solvent extraction method of separating and purifying Na99mTcO4from low specific activity99Mo is rarely employed in developed countries, whereas in India Na99mTcO4has been separated, purified and used in an injectable form for the past decade using low specific activity99Mo and an indigenous separator system. The entire operation was previously carried out by a manual method. In order to decrease the radiation burden to the personnel performing these operations the process assembly was redesigned to incorporate additional safeguards against radiation. The paper decribes the modifications introduced and our experiences with this ‘semi-automated’ system.

摘要:
The chest, wrist and finger doses experienced over a period of ten years by a small group of radiopharmacists (working in one of the largest nuclear medicine centres in India) have been evaluated. These personnel were involved in the preparation of injectable Na99mTcO4(and formulation of a few99mTc-radiopharmaceuticals) by an alternate method that is seldom employed in most countries, viz. the (manually operated) solvent extraction technique. They received fairly high does in the earlier years. Their radiation burdens were systematically decreased over a period of time by a significant extent by adopting proper radiation management techniques-work procedures, attitudes and by employing a number of radiation safety/protection devices. The ALARA dose limitation philosophy was the motivating force behind this self-interest programme.

On anodically biased polycrystalline iron electrodes under the influence of an in-situ mechanical treatment in the prepassive potential range an enhanced, grain-selective reactivity, resulting in an iron-phosphate precipitate was revealed. 摘要:
It is described a method for the determination of the O/U ratio in fuel pellets basing on the X-ray fluorescence in the idlra soft X-ray region. As detection instrument a special proportional scintillation counter is used. The accuracy of the results is nearly 001 O/U units. It is actually order of magnitude lower than for the known chemical methods but the advantage of the described procedure is to be an express and nondestructive technique.

In this paper a technique is described which by the use of an improved computerized device type ITRA (X-ray fluorescence analyzer with nuclide excitation) allows rapid determination of arsenic in ores and dressing products to be performed. The influence of different matrix composition on the results is discussed. The possibility of determining important matrix elements that can be used to make corrections is suggested.
