摘要:
The extraction of chromium(III) by carboxylic acids and acidic organophosphorus compounds has been investigated. In general, chromium(III) was not extracted by carboxylic acids but the organophosphorus compound, di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid, was found to be particularly adequate for the extraction. The partition of chromium(III) in nitrate medium and solutions of di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid in Shellsol-T was studied using a tracer of 51cr. Distribution measurements of the metal ion in a wide range of pH and organophosphoric acid concentrations have been performed. The experimental data treated by a graphical method have been explained assuming the presence in the organic phase of the species Cr(DEHP)3(H2O)2(HDEHP). Equilibrium constants for the different extraction reactions are given. The extraction of the monomeric species was found to be independent of Ac−or SO=4ions presence.

摘要:
The extraction of rhodium from aqueous nitric acid using dinonylnapthalene sulphonic acid has been investigated. The extraction occurs readily from 0.1M to 1.0m nitric acid and, since the rhodium is extracted as [Rh(H2O)6]3+into the inverted micelles of the organic solution, equilibration times are less than 5 minutes. Extraction is enhanced by the addition of nitrite ion to form [Rh(H2O)5NO2]2+as the extracted species.

摘要:
Europium(III) can be effectively extracted into variety of solvents from aqueous nitrate solutions containing HMPTA. The species extracted from LiNO3solutions into benzene or nitrobenzene was found to be Eu(NO3)3.3 HMPTA. The extraction of Bu(III) is further enhanced by other organic solvents miscible with water. In presence of TBP a weak synergism is observed due to the formation of mixed solvates Bu(NO3)3. (HMPTA)3-1(TBP)1.

摘要:
The extraction of Pb(II) from chloride solutions by trilaurylammonium chloride (TLAHC1) dissolved in toluene has been studied by metal distribution measurements. The work has been performed at three different aqueous chloride concentrations (1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 mol.dm−3NaCl). The treatment of the experimental data at each chloride concentration agrees with the stoichiometry of the extracted metal species in the organic phase while the values of their equilibrium constants are different for the various chloride concentrations. The extraction process is explained by the following extraction reactions

摘要:
The extraction of the bisulphate and sulphate ions by tetraalkylammonium thiocyanate into an non-aqueous solvent was investigated and the results compared with values from the literature. It is shown that graphical methods for obtaining these extraction constants cannot be justified in this case and thus do not give conclusive results. Least-square methods, without the approximations involved in the graphical methods, had to be employed to obtain more meaningful results. These confirm that both bisulphate and sulphate extract to a significant extent.

摘要:
The species and equilibria present in the synergistic extraction system for strontium, composed of didodecylnaphthalene sulfonic acid (HDDNS) and dicyclohexano-18-crown-6 (DC18C6) in CCI4, have been studied by IR and proton NMR spectroscopies, vapor pressure osmometry (VPO), and Karl Fischer (KF) titrations. With the aid of least-squares computer methods to fit the IR and VPO results, a series of proposed equilibria and associated equilibrium constants have been shown to adequately account for all of the observed behavior. The sulfonic acid and the salt of the acid alone in CCI4solution form the micellar species (HDDNS·xH2O)11(× is in the range 7-8) and (Sr(DDNS)2· 11 H2O)6respectively. The sulfonic acid alone, under conditions of intermediate loadings with Sr2+, yields the predominant species (Sr(DDNS)2)3(HDDNS)5·×H2O. When alone in solution, DC18C6 is a monomer, but it forms adducts with the free sulfonic acid and its strontium salt, yielding the respective product species (HDDNS)7·DC18C6· ×H2O and Sr(DC18C6)(DDNS)2· 2H2O. An excess of HDDNS or Sr(DDNS)2in the presence of Sr(DC18C6)(DDNS)22H2O yields predominantly Sr(DC18C6)(DDNS)2(HDDNS)2· ×H2O and (Sr(DC18C6)(DDNS)2)2(Sr(DDNS)2)33' · ×H2O respectively.
