摘要:
Radiolysis of diisodecyl phosphoric acid (DIDPA) in n-dodecane containing tributyl phosphate (TBP) was examined by analyzing concentrations of acidic extractants and H3PO4, and its effect on the extraction of neptuniua was studied froi the aspect of the extraction rate. For the solvent containing 0.5 fi DIDPA and 0.1 1 TBP Irradiated in the absence of HNO3, G-values for degradation of DIDPA and for production of dibutyl phosphoric acid (DBP)were found to be 0.47 and 0.14, respectively. For the solvent irradiated in stationary contact with 0.5 M HNO3, G-value for DIDPA degradation was found to be 0.78, which ras 1.7 tines larger than the value for the solvent irradiated in the absence of HNO3.

摘要:
Dicyclohexano-18-Crown-6 (DCH18C6)and its dimethyl and di-t-butyl derivatives have been evaluated as extractants for Sr (II) from nitric acid media. As with DCH18C6, a correlation is observed between the extraction of strontium nitrate by the di-t-butyl compound dissolved in a variety of oxygenated, aliphatic solvents and the concentration of water in the organic phase. Comparison of the extractant dependencies of the three compounds using n-octanol as the diluent shows that the expected first power dependence of the strontium distribution ratio (Dsr) on crown concentration is observed only for the di-t-butyl derivative. DCH18C6 shows a marked deviation from first power dependence at crown concentrations greater -0.01 M. Dsr acid dependencies for DCHl8C6 and the di-t-butyl derivative do not exhibit the decrease in strontium distribution ratios at high acidities observed for DCH18C6 in chlorinated hydrocarbons.

摘要:
A study has been made of the extraction of sodium into bis (2,4,4 -trimelhylpentyl) phosphinic acid. The following basic constants were measured at 25°C using two-phase titration techniques: the solubility in water, S, the ionization constant, pKa the dimerization constant, K2, and the distribution coefficient, Kd. The results were found to be in agreement with values reported in the literature for other phosphorus based extractants. A comparison was made with the data reported for sodium extraction iD phosphorous, phosphonic and phosphinic acid based ex-tractants. The data indicated that similar behaviour can be expected for all these compounds.

摘要:
The synergistic solvent extraction of Am(III) and Eu(III) with the neutral soft donor TIBPS and HTTA has been investigated using cyclohexane as the organic solvent and at an ionic strength of 0.1 M (NaCIO4). The extracted species are [M(TTA)2)] and [M(TTA)2(Clo4) (TIBPS)] The extraction constants show that the synergistic factor is less than that for the analogous hard donor adducts (e.g., TBP and TOPO) and no preferential extraction of Am(III) over Eu(III) is observed.

摘要:
The thermodynamic parameters for the extraction of Am3+with pyrazolones (HA=HPMBP or HPMTFP) alone as well as their mixtures with one of the crown ethers B15C5 or DCH18C6 have been calculated In chloroform at 30°C using temperature coefficient method. The self-adduct species AM(A)3HA is enthalpy stabilized. The adduct species AM(A)3HA DCH18C6 are stabilized by entropy and opposed by enthalpy. The adduct species AM (A)3HA B15C5 (HA=HPMBP) and Am(A)3.B15C5 or Am(A)32B15C5 (HA=HPMTFP) are stabilized by enthalpy. These data have been correlated with the difference In the nature of binding of the two crown ethers with Am3+.

摘要:
The extraction of Ag(I)and Hg(II) from chloride solutions of constant ionic strength (lM) by O,O-di-n-butyl a -phenylamino--phenylmethanethiophosphonate dissolved in trichloromethane has been studied. The extraction dependences of metals on the ligand, hydrogen and chloride ions concentrations have been analysed to determine the stoichiometry of the extracted complexes and their equilibrium constants.

摘要:
In systems containing gallium (III) and hydrochloric acid, extraction with pure IPE and a mixture of IPE - pentanol was studied. The influence of the initial concentration of acid and the solvent composition as well as the temperature on the extraction of the gallium and the equilibrated phase volumes was examined. The synergistic extraction of gallium (III)was found with a mixture of IPE - pentanol and a maximum value of ΔD in a 20 %vol. of alcohol mixture. The conditions of the third liquid phase formation were found and its effect on the extraction was discussed.

摘要:
Data on dispersed phase holdup are presented for a range of aqueous-organic systems, and are used to assess the accurancy of existing methods for its prediction. The Griffith model (2) for the mixer-settler region and the Thornton correlation (3) for the dispersion region were found to be the most accurate for high interfaclal tension systems; however their application requires a knowledge of the transition pulse velocity. No technique was found to predict satisfactorily the measured holdup for the low interfaclal tension systems investigated. The refitted Bell and Babb correlation (14)was found to provide an accurate method of interpolating data for a particular system, and can also be used to predict the transition from mixer-settler to emulsion operation.
