摘要:
Six sets of cumulative spring emergence data from cagedLeptinotarsa decemlineatawere fit by a logistic curve in an effort to predict emergence relative to accumulated heat. In general, fitting of each data set gave the same result, so the data were pooled and fit by: Y = 100[1 + exp(−0.7991 – 0.0234X)]−10.62. (X= accumulated degreedays at base temperature 9.88°C.)Mean overwintering depth in loam soils was between 7.6 and 12.7 cm, and mean survivorship increased with increasing depth.

Robinson, and N. P. Tugwell, which appeared in the February 1984 issue ofEnviron. Entomol., the authors request the following correction be made.
