ABSTRACTThe various modes of inheritance are described and illustrated with canine examples. The information required to establish that a given anomaly is of genetic origin is stated, and the methods for reducing the incidence of hereditary diseases are discussed.Résumé.L'auteur décrit les différents modes d'hérédité et les illustre à l'aide d'exemples relevés chez le chien. ABSTRACTBy radiographing intact, recently killed, pregnant cats and then removing the foetuses for crown‐rump measurements, a correlation between radio‐graphic appearance of foetusesin uteroand foetal age is established. The radiographic appearance of the foetusesin uterois described from the twenty‐fifth day of pregnancy until full term.SUMMARYUsing the CR length measurement to assess foetal age, a method of approximately estimating the various stages of pregnancy in cats using radiography was produced. It was seen that, although uterine enlargement and displacement was seen as early as the 25th day, the first signs of the foetal skeletal system were not apparentin uterountil the 38th day. From this time a progressive pattern of appearance of ossified parts was noted which allowed a means of estimating the day of gestation.Résumé.En radiographant des chats en gestation, récemment tués et intacts et en éloignant ensuite le foetus pour mesurer la couronne et la croupe, une correlation entre l'aspect radiographique du foetusin uteroet l'âge du foetus est établie. ABSTRACTA case of multiple cartilaginous exostoses in an 8‐year‐old Shetland Sheepdog is described. One of the exostoses on the left scapula transformed into an osteosarcoma which metastasized to the lungs. This finding is unusual as in many cases described in man and in one case in a dog chondrosar‐comas developed from the exostoses.Résumé.L'article porte sur un chien berger (Shetland) age de huit ans, présentant des exostoses cartilagineuses multiples. Un exostose de l'omoplate gauche s'est transformé en osteosarcome avec des metastases aux poumons. Ceci semble rare parce que de nombreux études chez l'homme et le seul ches cité chez un chien demontrent le developpement de chondrosarcomes.Zusammenfassung.In diesem Artikel wird ein Fall der multiple knorplige Exostosen bei einem acht jährigem Shetland Schäferhund beschrieben.Aus eine Exostose an der lenkin Scapula entwickelte sich ein Osteosarkom der zur Lunge metastasierte. ABSTRACTA case of localized secondary fungal meningo‐encephalitis with seizures is presented. The clinical features and the surgical treatment of the case are described. Pre‐surgical and post‐surgical electroencephalograms and cessation of clinical signs revealed the successful removal of the epileptogenic focus. Some of the diagnostic features of chronic pyelonephritis, as they affect this case, are reported.Résumé.On décrit un cas de méningo‐encéphalite fungoïde, secondaire et localisée, accompagnée d'attaques brusques. On passe en revue les traits cliniques et le traitement chirurgical du cas. Les électro‐encéphalograrnmes avant et après l'opération et l'arrêt des signes cliniques ont révélé que le foyer épileptogène a pu être éloigné avec succès. On rapporte certains des éléments diagnostiques de la pyélo‐néphrite chronique qui intéressent ce cas.Zusammenfassung.Ein Fall von lokalisierter sekundärer fungaler Meningoencephalitis mit Anfallen wird beschrieben. Die klinischen Merkmale und die chirurgische Behandlung des Falles werden besprochen. Elektroencephalogramme vor und nach der chirurgische Behandlung. Und das Verschwinden der klinischen Merkmale zeigten die erfolgreiche Entfernung des epileptogenen Focus. Einige der diagnostischen Merkmale chronischer Pyelonephritis, welche von Bedeutung

The types of test carried out are mentioned and the accommodation and personnel required in practices of differing size are discussed.
